On paper it seems an excellent product, unfortunately is useless since it's not working with my iPhone 15 pro.

I purchased two of these Flash Drives (256 GB). None of them work with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max which has USB Type-C connection. Impossible to get help from the developer.

WD knows the SanDisk iXpand app DOES NOT WORK with this 256GB iXpand Flash Drive Luxe, but they still keep selling it and then acting surprised when users leave reviews saying "it doesn't work". FIX IT! It should be criminal to continue to market and sell something that you know doesn't work. In fact, it might be.This has the makings of a Class Action lawsuit if you ask me. Have loved previous IXpand flash drives with the IXpand app. Ordered this one with the USB C connector expecting it to be recognized by the IXpand app and do automatic backup of contacts and photos. Doesn't recognize it at all

Connected to my iPhone 14 using lightning connector and worked fine. Transferred 37 photos and videos from phone to usb Drive. Tried to connect to iPad Pro using the usb-c connection and it keeps prompting me to plug in drive. APP does not seem to recognize device when plugged in. If I open files on iPad, it is showing up as a drive location, but transferring to usb drive is annoying as it can only attempt 1 file at a time.

This is my experience using this on my iPhone 13 Pro Max: copying files from my iPhone to the flash drive it does not retain the date of the original files (photos and videos). This is a deal breaker for me. The sorting is not working - when I change it to sort by descending date, it is not showing the latest file I just copied to it at the top. I am forced to use the app to manage files, even through the Share sheet. Even typing in the search box is frustrating- trying to type in numbers, the keyboard reverts back to the alphabet for every numeral I type in! I believe all these can be fixed in the iXpand app. PLEASE fix these issues.

So so I can get it to work somewhat all right with my iPhone. It could work better but at least it does somewhat work with the iPhone, but my Google Pixel Android phone? NOPE! Give several reasons why and one of them is talking about formatting it to FAT32 whatever that is. Doesn't really tell you how and neither does a website as far as I can tell. The whole reason I got this was so it would work with my Android phone my iPhone and my MacBook and interchangeably but no and it was quite expensive so kinda po-ed

I have tried ALL of the trouble-shooting steps on WD website, and none of them have solved my problem. The drive is recognized on my PC running Windows 11, but will not recognize on my new iPad. The firmware update tool for PC for the USB drive does not recognize the drive either. This same iXpand drive had successfuly worked on my really old iPad. I don't think iXpand is ready for the new IOS.

Me trying to explain to support the current problem. Sharing here so that others understand their drives, at present, are only half functional than they should be due to an incompatibility with the software on iOS. Okay. I'm trying to be as clear as I can. I'm going to try and make this as simple to understand as possible because it really is very simple. There is nothing wrong with the DRIVE(s) as in plural. MY GUESS is the drives or iXpand software on iPhone need an update to bring that full functionality back so that files can once again be moved both ways. Both to the iPhone and from the iPhone to the drive. Does this make sense? Example, I'm able to copy about 5 Gigabytes of photos to the drive easily and successfully. The PROBLEM lies in the ability of the drive to be able to copy files FROM the drive to the iPhone. Something that the iXpand drives used to be able to do easily and a function that is built into the software which proves this ability should be there. Why doesn't it work? Easy. I suspect the drives and/or software for iXpand NEED an update to work with the latest iPhone iOS completely as it should. As of now, only being able to copy files to the drive and nothing else is half the functionality it should have. It's that simple. I don't know how to make this any clearer. The drives are fine, they need to be updated to restore full functionality and compatibility with the latest iPhones. It's that simple.

I have two ixpand drives: the GO and the LUXE versions. Both are BRAND NEW Brand New, iPhone 14 Pro ? Operating system version. iOS 16.1.1 Neither drive works with the current iOS/iPhones It is recognized ONLY by the iXpand software but is unable to be accessed/recognized by the rest of iOS or any of the compatible apps that are supposed to be compatible and used to be able to access these drives as an external storage while plugged in. None of these are possible currently. And, iXpand can't seem to copy any files. It goes through the motions taking a long time as it used to, but it never actually copies any of the files. Also on many occasions of trying, the drive just stopped even being recognized altogether by iOS and kept prompting to insert iXpand drive even though it was already inserted. I tried changing operating system and software settings. Nothing worked. This was the case for both of the new drives. And right now they are completely useless on the iOS device version 16.1.1 for whatever reason. If I had to guess I'd say an update is needed somewhere to fix this. As of today, these drives are only good as basic flash drives on my PC or Mac and that's it. They literally do not work with the latest version of iOS.

I bought this hoping as advertised it will transfer data DIRECTLY from my iPhone to iPad Pro and vise versa through the through the iXpand drive app and as is advertised by WD SanDisk! Apparently and after wasting a few days, I discovered that it will ONLY BE SEEN in iPad Pro (apple devices using USB C ports) through indirectly accessing the native IOS "Files" app !!! I discovered that after reading a recent review by another unsatisfied customer who had the same exact problem !! What a letdown and a disappointment !!

Lightning connection on my iPhone works with the iXpand app but the USB-C on my iPad does not work with the app. Called Tech Support and they informed me that this is the case and it won't work. Didn't see that anywhere in the literature. What a joke!

This flash drive is very handy, great for storing photos to quickly clear space on your phones or to swap them between Android and iPhone. It's very small so you can carry it anywhere, it even has a loop for your keychain in case you run out of space while on the go.

I can easily transfer them onto the flash drive, unmount it from my phone and plug it into my laptop to put them on the backup drive. Even uploading to a cloud storage takes longer than this does. So easy to do and completely saves time! I really also like that it can be used with Apple and Android devices. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really needed a way to safely offload my photos and videos off my iPhone to my external hard drive to free up space. This thing did just the trick. No learning curve and no bloatware. There is some default pics and stuff already on the flash drive, but those can be deleted if you don't want them. Super fast transfer speed too. Did 1500+ photos/videos in about 15 minutes.

I've been using this flash drive for a few weeks now and can honestly say it's been a pleasure to have. I love being able to get my pictures off of my phone anytime and quickly. It's great being able to just free up space on the go and to have that portability to transfer pics and vids anytime I need to. I keep it on my keychain so that I can have it at all times when in need. I would say anyone looking to free up space on their phone and have that extra insurance to always have space and back up capability all the time would love this flash drive.
