I bought this card for traveling to places like Alaska and the Mohajve because of its tolerance of extrememe temperatures. It has lived up to ithe expectations in these environments. I use it now for all of my photos including action shots at horse shows.

This is the most famous brand in the CF card business so you don't need to worry about the quality. Currently 2011, even unknown brand also produce high quality card. You don't need to worry anything. This is the speed I use for sport photography for more than 5 fps without any problem. As long as the price is right for you and just buy it.

Fast and reliable with lots of space to cover sporting events. Knowing the card has a ton of space I know I can shoot youth sports thru college sports from beginning to end with space to spare.

Using the card for 20D & 5D Mark II. Best value over price ratio among all cards. 16GB/32GB/64GB cards have higher capacity but their prices are way too high at this moment.

I only shoot in "RAW" so the SanDisk 4 GB cards were becoming a hassle because I fill them up so fast especially when I am shooting wildlife; This 8 GB made it less likely to miss another shot while changing the memory card! Never had a problem with any of the SanDisk memory cards during the more than ten years that I have been using in all kinds of weather & tough situations!

Ive been using SanDisk cards since buying a Canon 10D, actually until buying these 8G cards, 1/2010, ive been using the same cards with a few newer ones added in the kit. No problems! These were on sale, seem to write faster when you fire off a sequence of shots.

Sandisk is the best. And reliable. When I accidentally deleted over 2,000 (yes!) images from one card that hadn't been downloaded yet, I was able to recover them.

I shoot a Canon 7D at 18MP and HQ Video 1080@30FPS and 720@60FPS with this memory I saw super smooth video with no hiccups. This camera can shoots 8fps at 18MP in jpg mode. Slow memory will slow the frame rate down, with this Extreme IV card I saw no slow downs. Even shooting in RAW these Extreme IV cards are very fast. Transfer speeds from the camera to the computer were also very fast. I am one very happy customer. After owning the Extreme IV card one week I bought a second one. You can never have enough memory.

This card works great with my Canon 7D. I have not had any problems with it and there is a definite improvement in speed over the Extreme III that I used previously. Highly recommended.

With the high resolution cameras to catch action shots this card is a must. You need a good bit of memory and fast write speeds if you are shooting in raw and if not in raw why not?. For the $$$$ I think that it is a best buy.

I've always used SanDisk cards and these 8 GB Extreme IV's perform as expected, great. No problems to report and good reliability. Not the largets capacity and not the fastest read/write out there, but for the money and with the rebate, a fantastic value.

Great Product, I have been using SanDisk for more than 3 years with 0 Problems. Better if take advantage of the discount. I prefer buying 1 (8GB) now and 1 later that buy 16(GB) and take the risk of damage a lot more of images. That is my recomendation (Don't put all your eggs in the same basket = finance 101)

Do not compromise on your memory card.

My previous card was a Sandisk Extreme III CF, and the increased speed from 30 MB/sec to 45 MB/sec has tripled the length of my burst capability on the Sony DSLR-A700 from 7 to 22 frame bursts, shooting RAW. Everything else is accordingly faster, too; displaying the stored images on the back of the camera, bulk file transfers, everything. Don't compromise, get the best--it's a tool you'll use and appreciate every day.
