Excellent card. I have used for portrait sessions, landscape, and sports. It writes fast enough for all of them even at 6fps.

The card has been great in my 50D since I purchased it about 2 months ago. Rock solid and fast. For the price, it is hard to beat.

I use the compact flash in my Canon 1D Mark III. The write time is fast and the reliability is great.

Over a three year period I have had four Sandisk CF cards come apart. One became unusable and another occasionally corrupts files. I have since switched to Lexar Pro but I have not used them long enough to compare.

Not recommended for high continuous RAW shooting such as weddings or sports. Though it eventually keeps up, it does lag behind and sometimes acts like the camera can't shoot. Also not helpful when you do want to do a quick check. I love the cards, just wish I had bought a higher read/write speed. Otherwise reliable.

I use these as CF storage in my SLR's. Although they don't have state-of-the-art speed, they are perfectly adequate most of the time. They will hold about 250 raw image files. Because this is an older card, it's a relative bargain compared to the newer ones.

Using with a Canon 10D. Wanted to upgrade the CF card from .5 gig. Card works fine, but the speed is no faster than the .5 gig card that it replaced. I assume that it is because of the internal camera memory not able to keep up with the extream III card.

I take a lot of fast action multiple burst shots and San Disc has never let me down.I can fill up a 4GB rather quickly but this 8 GB is much harder to fill up.Bottom line:a great card from SanDisc

I wanted a card that was fast but not too big. Not ready to ride a whole wedding on only a few cards. I spread it out for insurance reasons. The 8GBs are great for that. Thanks guys!

We were in a bird refuge and were able to shoot raw and large jpeg and didn't worry about filling the cards too fast when birds are all over. Wrote fast enough that we did not suffer from lag time of writing to the card. Great small investment for outdoor photography

I frequently downloaded my photos with the 4 GB SanDisk Extreme III. I find with 8 GB I have plenty of storage I shoot RAW+JPG and the 8GB card with the 4 GB now as backup will hold mote photos than I take in weekend trip.

SanDisk cards are always good and this one is no exception. I can fit over 200 images when shooting RAW and High Res JPEGs with my Canon 5D Mark II at @21.1mp.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what the end-point user of a product wants ... quality for the price paid. SanDisk makes superb memory cards ... and my only regret is that I didn't buy MORE of these 8-Gig monsters.

I liked the performance of these cards, so far. I used three of these cards at a snowmobile shoot last weekend. The speed of these cards did capture the action in most of my photos. I captured some of the best images of my life on these cards. No error messages or format issues, yet. These cards did work for action, but I would recommend buying a faster card for action shooting. I would buy more of these cards in the future. I bought these c.f. cards because of the lower price with the rebate. I'm 100% happy with these card, thus far. I will buy more of this brand. THANKS!!!
