Extremely slow writing speed when putting a large number of smaller files on the drive. Measured speed around 1 MB/sec. Putting 2500 MP3's on the drive takes more than 8,5 hours....

After 4 years since I bought this USB, I think I opened it 5-6 times, to save some pictures, today I opened it once more. It worked for a few minutes, it opened without problems, ...but after a few minutes it won't let me enter the password to secure some pictures. I got error 1. I spoke and they told me to change the computer. So, in order for this USB to work normally, we have to buy other computers from time to time?... In vain, I put the USB series on the website several times, it did not recognize my product. Catastrophe

I cannot believe how hard it is to put one of these into the USB Slot! It is so tight I think it will wear my slots out! I cannot believe that they are not well calibrated. I don't care about price when it comes to my storage but the design and dependability needs to be there. I bought these mostly for the Encryption and they are different than all my others, therefore easily distinguished from the other Sandisk I have. The fact that they made the wider at the back is also not good. Because of this you cannot install side by side in some laptops.

The storage capacity of the drive is 30.47 GB, not 32 or even 31.77, which is the case with other companies drives. In checking back on other SanDisk thumb drives I have purchased, the size is consistent. I never noticed that it was smaller than advertised. It is not necessarily consequential in the long term but it is annoying that the labeling is not accurate and the description does not explain the reason the disk is smaller than advertised.

The secure vault took a couple of minutes to setup, but after that it was flying along. I did notice that the drive got extremely hot to touch.

I like the design, small and compact. 5 starts there. But the write speed is average 25MB/s which is kind of slow for USB 3.1 By the way: I order this USB drive in 256 GB and I received 128 GB (two times)... very disappointed Online store team warehouse management sucks

Okay, but small. Hard to handle in a tight fitting port like HP. I ran some para cord through the slot so i can find it in my computer case. Other than that, it's fine. There is no I msi of i can add the security feature back if i reformat this.??

This is a solid USB drive and so far has worked flawlessly in a home media server. It feels heavy and substantial. It gets slightly warm to the touch but with the metal casing it seems to dissipate the heat quickly. I have other USB drives that at times can get hot to the touch - even when not transferring data. For use cases where you need the drive to be as small as possible this is not the drive for you. For my application I was fine with it being a little bigger.

This a large capacity, fast flash drive, but I have a concerns about the longevity. The drive gets very hot to the touch when transfering files to it. So far, I like the drive. I wish "Maybe" was an option in the "Would you recommend this product?" I will have to say No to recommend because of the heat concerns.

Sandisk flash drives rarely fail. Speed is as advertised. I like this one because the casing is a formed piece of aluminum (alloy). Very sturdy design.

This USB 3.1 is small enough to travel with you wherever you go. It is also very light so packing this little gem for a picture taking hike is not a problem. You will want to make sure that it is secure in your travels since you will not notice it’s loss during a trek. All in all, a must for anyone needing this kind of travel storage.
