Love that ssd, not that fast on apple devices but still fast enough for me. Serves its purpose well. Have it around a month, so far no issues yet) and i hope won't happen any.

Not sure what is happening
I have loved these in the past but my newest one, only a year old.... files are just disappearing. Not sure what is going on. And the drive is now taking a while to launch. I had to walk away and get a cup of coffee. Now transferring everything to another drive, checking my backups and searching for a new brand to switch too which is just making me awfully sad, I've been using SanDisk for years.

Password not compatible with iPads
This SSD is compact and fast. The only drawback is that when you enable the Windows password sign in an iPad will no longer connect to it.

Worthless with a iMAC
Bought on Amazon. Tried to connect this to a iMAC to back up my Hard Drive which was an SSD of a smaller size. Unfortunately, I could not get my iMAC to recognize this drive even with the excellent support from Apple. No place in Specifications do any of these products identify compatibility nor are their instructions with workarounds for products like the popular iMAC.
WD needs to address this in their marketing. I returned the product not knowing if it is supposed to be compatible and I got a bad unit or not.

I've got twelve of these now and highly recommend for any editors out there. Never had an issue with one. They're fast, sturdy, and easy to transport.

Data completely wiped and heretofore unrecoverable
How can you continue to sell a product that fails within months due to a software glitch? 1 TB of gone. The fix is then created so the disk will not fail again. What kind of idiot would entrust data to a device that might fail because of firmware glitches that are only repairable before a failure? Back it up using more of our suspect devices, or better yet our failure-prone disk drives.

NOT RELIABLE!
I've had it for half a year now but I have been having problems since day one. Crashes constantly and I keep having to format it. I spent so much money on this crappy drive. I'm a full-time photographer and this drive is an absolute headache. Luckily I have multiple hard drives to back up from so I'm able to back up my stuff and pull it just in case. My Drive crashes at least once every other week. Hard to trust SanDisk.

Did not work well with MacBook M2 Pro
I bought it to be the Time Machine backup on my MacBook Pro with M2 Pro chip. It had issues mounting right away. I got it hooked up and it managed to perform one backup. The next day it wouldn't mount at all. Kept giving me issues. The laptop could see it, but it could not mount it. After looking it up online I decided to downgrade to 2T since the reviews of other folks suggested the 4T is often flaky. My 2T Sandisk Pro is performing much better.

Honestly, one of the worst SSDs you can buy
Even though seeing the bad reviews, I thought maybe I would get a good one and turns out I was wrong. I've never had more issues with the hard drive in my life. As soon as I started using, I noticed it wasn't available on my computer so I partitioned and reset the SSD after this it started working for about 2 to 3 days and then it completely crapped out and ruined all my data. Do not trust! I suggest getting your own NVM and getting an enclosure like Asus. If you think about it, a lot of these drives come from China and these companies want to maximize profits so they put poor quality ssds inside to make money. After western digital acquired Sandisk I can tell what they wanna do is run it into the ground to kill competition. If you like, wasting your money, go ahead and buy.

Not worth the money
Man I paid almost 500$ dollars for this 4tb and it's deleting my files after 3 days. Making me reformat my disk EVERYTIME!??VERY DANGEROUS IF YOU HAVE IMPORTANT DATA on drive!? definitely not worth the money
