Excellent compact and speedy drive.
works great super fast, compact and so far very reliable. I like that it can also connect direct to the iPhone for proves recoding option.

Reliable, Durable, Fast
The Sandisk Extreme 4Tb Card is the best! It's fast, small, durable, looks sexy? I could go on. I've been using these cards while years now while sensitive photo/ video data and I've been able to trust them all the way

SanDisk not helpful at all
So far terrible service. Had to return the SSD and so far have never had any information after they received it. We have no idea what is happening.

Great Little Device
My wife is a prolific photo-shooter with her phone. I am constantly preaching to her to not leave her photos on her phone. For Christmas, I got her this SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable drive for her to dump her photos onto. Before giving it to her, I checked it out with my PC and my Android phone. The PC recognized it right away, but my phone didn't. I discovered that I had to enable my phone to transfer data to and from the USB charging port. Once done, the phone instantly recognized the SanDisk. At Christmas, my wife was delighted, and dumped over 3,000 photos onto the SanDisk, which in turn, I copied over to my PC and one of it's 6TB Black Label hard drives.

failed and cannot repair
DO NOT BUY! FAILED AND CANNOT FIX.
I was using this as my backup for my computer, then one day I went to backup my computer and nothing came up. I tried it on windows, iPad and even my android phone. All nothing. I've barely used it and have always taken care of it

Reliability Is Worrisome
Purchased a 4tb SanDisk Extreme and partitioned it into 2-2tb. Within a year, I was unable to access the Primary partition and if not for my recovery software, I would have lost my entire home video collection. The technology for SSD long-term but frequently accessed files just isn't there yet for consumers to put their trust in. Although fast and easily recognized by PCs, the reliability is worrisome.

Frustrated
I just purchased this and I'm so frustrated. No instructions on how to use it! I'm trying to get my photos off my iPhone 12Pro Max and I was told to just get a USB Type-C to Lighting Cable, plug & go. Well, needless to say, that's not the case. Nothing happens and I don't have a clue what to do!

Device does not works with mac air M2
This is one of the worst product I have ever bought, and worst customer service ever received. The device works on windows machine but does not work with macbook. I reported this to the support and did troubleshooting with Sandisk/WD support team. They were not able to make it work. Then they approve RMA and ask to visit their service centre (Rashi Peripherals Pvt. Ltd. Jaipur, Rajasthan, India). The staff there didn't had macbooks and tested the device using windows, despite reporting that the issue is with only mac. They then rejected the RMA and refused to replace the device even though the device is under warranty.

There's a reason it's always on sale
I had two of these both break within weeks of when I got them. They wouldn't work with any high speed USB cables. Both Windows and Mac wouldn't even recognize them unless they were connected with USB 2.0 cables, meaning the data transfer speeds were heavily capped. Took them multiple weeks to get me the first replacement, second time I was able to get an upgrade to the PRO version of this product, which I haven't yet had issues with.

Stopping working after a year
waste of money and lost my data. The drive worked at first after a year it would not mount anymore on my mac. I have tried everything the internet recommends to fix this error and nothing work.

Locked out of my own data. The installed software will NOT launch, the driver the company refer to is NOWHERE to be found. They didn't fix ANYTHING, the "More" link right on this page alleging to address the issue doesn't work. No idea what to do next-this is a travesty. I would return but all my data is trapped in there.

Stay away
Worst hard drives in ten world. They get completely damaged, you can't even mount them back. 5 hard drives with data loss.

Worst not even worked for 3 times
I purchased in amazon I used this less than 5 times this is just a backup when my harddrive is 100% full which rarely happens

The first user experiences are good. I mainly use iPad and iPhone so I was able to start recording at the same time, no problems.

SanDisk Extreme 1TB SSD
My 1TB works well. Slower transfer than I expected, but it may be my older laptop capability. I am still using my 2TB WD My Book that I was going to replace. :-)

Extreme-ly unreliable, horrible customer service
This drive lasted four months being used as a backup drive on a Mac then died. Under warranty, it's a month later and I still haven't received the replacement. Every time I call customer service I get a different response. I haven't had a Sandisk/WD drive ever last longer than two years. This is my last time with this company who have no respect for the importance of a backup drive, and the need to get a replacement in the hands of their customers as quickly as possible.

Lightweight, fast and convenient.
I brought the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD on a trip. It was quick and easy to back up my photos. I didn't even notice its weight when carrying it around.

Bad drive, bad service
One of the two drives I purchased is defective, spontaneously disconnecting from and reconnecting to my computer. I reached out to WD and have taken all steps requested by their customer support agent to ensure that the firmware was updated, which it already was. I was told via voicemail I would receive an RMA number for return, which I did not. I have sent an email telling customer service that I did not receive the RMA information, and I tried to call but I gave up after being on hold for over an hour. I have been using these drives for 3 years and this is the first time I have had a problem. This is also the first time I have purchased them from WD.
