Great thumb drive. Good price, sturdy construction. I like that the nub slides in and out.

I had a good experience with this. Ran fast. 4 years old and still going strong. I have carried it in my bag that whole time and it has held up well.

As with all USB drives this device works with a Mac. The user may need to format it for their OS. Yes, I have one and it works on all our Macs.

All flash drives work on all systems that have a USB port. Flash drives are made independent of an OS; they work with all of them. Most often they may need to be formatted for that OS be it Windows, Linux, or Mac. Mr. Feel Good should format SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive - 32 GB as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). If it still does not work there is something wrong with that thumb drive. Return it to SanDisk or Adorama for a replacement. Here we use that flash drive along with other vender flash drives and capacities. They all perform as expected.

@Mr. Feel Good is incorrect. All manufactures thumb drives are recognized on all computers that recognize a USB port. There is not a thumb drive manufactured for Windows or Mac only compatible; they work on both. My recommendation is to format the device on the Mac as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". If it then does not work contact SanDisk as the device is in error; they will replace it. All our thumb drives, inexpensive and expensive with a mix of capacity and manufactures work on our Mac network. This SanDisk 32 GB is a very good device, the capacity is what we need to transfer large files. I give it five stars.

This product was to be used to transfer patient data files between my iMac at home and my iMac at the office, in a small area. On the internet add, for the item, it says nothing about NOT being compatable with a Mac. All my other Sandisk U3 Flash drives (i have about 8, from 1gb to 16gb) are Mac comaptable, I don't know why this flash drive would be any different. [...]
