The X10-Lite-S is equipped with durable LEDs, each rated to last an impressive 50,000 hours. This reliable on-camera light is powered by readily available Sony NP-F970 type batteries (not included), ensuring you have a portable and versatile lighting solution for your video recording needs. Alternatively, you can power the unit from a 6 to 17 volt DC source using the included D-Tap connector, providing you with flexibility in various shooting environments.
The unit boasts a sealed, scratch-resistant lens that safeguards the LEDs, delivering a robust 1450 lux at 1m, with a 90-degree beam spread. This feature enables you to light a relatively large area directly from your on-camera light. For a more focused beam, simply flip up the bottom barndoor to adjust the beam spread to 45 degrees, giving you greater control and minimizing light spill.
The X10-Lite-S LEDs produce light with a color temperature of 4500K, striking a balance between daylight and tungsten values. The barndoors incorporate a color correction filter that you can fold in front of the light to convert the color temperature from 4500K to 3200K. IDX X10-LITE Features
- The X10-Lite-S is an on-camera light that features dimming from 100 to 0%, without affecting the quality of the beam
- The standard beam angle is 90deg., however, by flipping up the bottom barndoor in front of the light, you convert the beam angle to 45deg. for a more spotty beam
- The light has a color temperature of 4500K, which puts it approximately halfway between daylight and tungsten. Using this light with daylight (5600K) balanced units will result in the light causing a slight warming on the subjects you illuminate it with, when the camera is set to daylight balanced
- The barndoors feature a color correction filter, that you can flip down to cover the LEDs and this will convert the lights output from 4500K to 3200K, so you can mix it with traditional tungsten lighting with color temperature issues
