I have had this printer for at least the past four years. As a fine-arts artist, it produces great prints not only of my work as a graphic artist-designer and fine-arts painter, but also as a photographer.

Very disappointed. Feeder only catches about every other page, many times crumbling or tearing the paper. Ink heads have to be cleaned often!

We purchased a 1430 for printing both photos, graphic designs & illustrations. The printer has done an excellent job on all. If you are wanting to print B&W digital photos, this is not the best option, but there is an excellent hack that will give you a decent B&W.

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I want to print 13" x 19" images. So far, only 8 x 10's are available.

I won this printer as a door prize at a photographic competition about 4 years ago! Even though it is the only thing I have ever won, it is one of the best things that I have in my 80 years of collected stuff. No longer do I even consider having a print of my work made elsewhere. Artisan 1430 gives me complete control of results. I am an amateur so I have no pressures to do stuff, and only do what I want to do.

Fast and easy to install and set up. Printing quality is OUTSTANDING. However I had trouble finding proper drivers to print 11 x 17 paper and still have not found driver to print 12 x 18

I constantly have trouble with this thing. Today it started printing orange instead of black and everything is faded. I can never just set my profiles and hit print... NEVER.

...and still going strong. I'd change nothing in my review from then and will add that I've since printed a number of color photos, several as large as 11x17, and am very pleased with the results. My only suggestion is to reduce the resolution considerably for very small prints to avoid clipping the image at the edge if you don't want to lose what's there. A tremendous value in the photo printer world, I'd buy the 1430 again.

This is my second Epson printer. I love the archival ink and am willing to use only Epson papers to get the quality. I have only two issues: (1) the nearest official Epson repair is an hour and a half away and always requires at least overnight - lots of driving. (2) ALL colors of ink must be of acceptable quantity in it to print at all. E.G. it must have yellow ink in order to print black text.

This my 3rd Epson - 1st one died due to age - order replacement but didn't open until 8 months later (family & life issues) - Epson sent a replacement - not new and the replacement didn't work - paper feeder was broken

I purchased the Epson Artisan 1430 because it has the ability to make 11X14 prints. I quickly bought it. Then, I began reading reviews that others had given, and the reviews were mixed, so I was very leery. Once I got it, and I tried it, I was extremely satisfied.

This is my 2nd. I was sad when my first died after three years but my daughter, a professional photographer, said that's normal.

I owned the Epson 1400 in the past and it was a workhorse that lasted quite a few years. It could handle card stock and heavier paper which is important to me as I am an artist. This version doesn't handle it well. I've only had it for a couple of months.

Easy set up on first try. The quality of prints are outstanding. Dry very fast. Too new to rate 5 stars but getting close.Only current issue is I have on older Epson 4180 photo scanner. Error messages pop up regarding some sort of conflict with the two machines. Not sure what that is about. I run Windows 8 32 bit. and it still prints and I can still scan.

I bought this printer having having great luck with epson inject photo printers in the past. After a couple of years of infrequent use, my printer developed a "hardware malfunction" so now it prints with an 1 inch vertical band of very fine white lines in different locations with each subsequent phone. I spent an hour with customer service only to be told that the warranty on the hardware was only good for a year and that I could get a 15% discount on a new printer. My other epson printer lasted for many years and only needed to be replaced because it was no longer compatible with my computer software.

I had a wide-format printer in the past that was more expensive and when I wore it out I got this one. The quality is just as good with a more affordable price. It worked great right out of the box and I love that it works with wi-fi.

I have owned my Epson Artisan 1430 printer for about one year. I have found it to be an ideal tool for graphic design and photography work. As such, the printer provides me with dependably high quality print images.

I have been looking at this printer for months and was recommended by my art director for graphic design work. I ended up getting it as a Christmas present and I love it. It printed beautiful high quality photos for more myself and bright posters for my ad campaigns for my senior thesis work. I would say for you work in photography or graphic design you are going to be using it a lot and need really good prints I would highly suggest this printer.

Received one for christmas. did nothing but put banding streaks on my pics. After talking with epson support and doing all the cleaning and aligning heads. same problem. Support had me send printer to them, they sent me a "new" one. Same problem, different streaks in the banding. Same support fixes. same result. And think their website is poor.

My first 1430 has been used for dye sublimation for two years, The color and clarity is second to none. It was only natural for me as a small home based business to add another for fine art and vinyl printing!

The Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer combines fast 2.8 ppm ISO print speeds (black and color) with Epson's MicroPiezo inkjet technology and Claria high-definition ink to produce high-quality long-lasting photos. The printer's wide carriage lets you print large photos - up to 13x44" right from your own computer. Thanks to the printer's compatibility with a wide range of media (including photo luster, photo glossy, photo matte and presentation paper), you'll be able to print what you need in-house, right away.
In addition to printing on standard media, you can print directly on inkjet-printable CDs & DVDs. Easily create your own custom CDs and avoid the hassle of having to attach a disc label. Besides a standard USB connection, you can connect to the printer wirelessly via Wi-Fi from a computer on your wireless network. Instead of buying a printer for each user, save resources - and space - with one printer for your whole network.
Additionally, Epson Connect makes it easy to print from a wide range of devices including Smartphones such as an iPhone or Android phone and tablet computers such as the iPad. The front-facing USB port can be used to print directly from any PictBridge-enabled device such as a digital camera.
