Very difficult to set up. I finally get it to print but it wont scan. I cannot get it the drivers loaded and the printer scanner does not recognize my computer. I would NOT buy from Epson again. I bought this unit expecting it to be relatively trouble free but in reality it's no better that the HP I discarded. Overly complicated on every level

This printer's set up was the hardest setup I have ever had to do. It was not very customer friendly for a 55 year old to set up. I have set up other printers in the past in half the time and they were so much easier to set up. I am very disappointed that it has 4 different printer cartridges for the ink. I am use to only buying 2 cartridges per printer. Now 4!! Even connecting to my wifi was difficult and very time consuming as I had to type my password in on the printer panel which took forever. The panel is very small and hard to read. I should have researched the printer before I brought it. I haven't printed anything yet but I hope that it prints good because I am very disappointed so far.

I was happy with my Epson 625 for fourteen years so I decided to buy another Epson. It took my husband SIX HOURS to set the printer up and connect it to the computer! Just so you know he has ran his own business for 25 years and is very knowledgeable about computers, printers, etc. What a nightmare.

Had this print about 1 year and recently it has been giving me problems. The ink tends to be fairly consistent with duration and quality is good. The 2 sided printing is where I have major problems. It jams every time I want to print double sided. The construction of the printer makes this an easy fix when it jams but still inconvenient. Now I have to ensure that the box for double sided printing is unchecked before printing because it will reverse the paper and jam even on a 1/1 page document. When it works, it's great but its consistently not working now and I'm shopping for a new printer because of it. Won't buy Epson again since other reviews on other printers have the same reviews as mine.

I've had this a few months and it was working great, then today it decided not to print anything. Checked the website for troubleshooting, absolutely no help. I want to know what the small icon are on the top right of the screen in the corner. One looks like wi-fi for the cell, there is another with a yellow triangle and speaker with a squiggle and the word off. No where does it tell me what they mean or are them important. Why so little info with the instruction page?

havent had any issues with it but it does go through ink pretty fast but expected for a cheap printer, decent quality print, connect to computer every time no issues

This is the least economical printer I have ever owned. I put new cartridges in today. I printed 18 brochures at 35% coverage in "best" quality. It literally emptied two of the color cartridges. I've had this printer for just a few months, but I'm throwing it away tomorrow. That is insane that it uses so much ink.

This thing sucks ink for no reason! I have printed less than 50 sheets and out of black ink! I purchased an XL cartridge. 3rd party inks stopped working after update :) My local Office Max was out of Epson ink... Now I have to go to the library just to print. Not to mention the ink costs more than a printer at this point.

I attempt to use this printer only occasionally, however every time I turn it on there is a new issue. After replacing the small quantity of ink that came with the machine it is now not recognizing the ink cartridges today. i have printed with these prior to an update, now the machine will not recognize them. Very poor quality machine, do not recommend.

I bought this about a month ago and have printed 3 color documents and about 75 black text-only sheets. I am now out of ink. Support keeps commenting on these reviews, telling people to call them to learn how to make the ink last longer. Why should we have to call? Why isn't it set up to print at the highest performance already? It was also a huge ordeal to set up, and I have to reset the internet EVERY time I print.

It took me 2 hours to get "set up" to function. Manually typing in all of my Wi-Fi info. Recognizing the wrong Wi-Fi info it finally happened after many failed tries. Seems to be working fine now. I bought it for the fact that the controls are tucked into the front.(cats)

the printer is awesome but ink doesn't last long at all I put 232xl 232 tri color std I don't understand why won't last long xl supposed to last long maybe Epson need make 232xl black and 232xl tri color Combo then should last longer so if ur light user this printer for u if ur heavy user I would look for a printer that handles heavy use and longer last ink

Wow the setup is ridiculous. Especially for those that have some experience setting printers up. They have dumbed it down so much that the process overlaps and confuses their own printer. The main issue was the WiFi connection. It would connect and then drop connection constantly during setup so it could never finish. Mind you all my other devices are connected and and stay connected in the same room . Oh and its sitting right beside the google mesh router. Took almost 2 days to get through firmware update,, and I thought surely this would fix the issue. Nope, and I could never connect the printer to the computer at all. Took back to office depot the very next day. Going to get a Brother I think.

I bought it because I need to print ONE simple return order form. It takes a minimum of an hour just to get it up and running.... It INSISTED on knowing my EXACT LOCATON !!! WHY ???? Do they need to track ME ???? WHY ??? It's been a day now.... I'm TERRIFIED to attempt to use it. ........what problems will this bring ???? It needed a firmware update ALREADY !!! I'm pretty ticked off that after a firmware update my cartridges that were working JUST FINE have now rendered the printer inoperable. The solution from Epson tech support? Buy Epson ink and call them back if that doesn't work. So now, I'm out of commission until the new cartridges arrive. This seems so shady to me since there was absolutely no issues until I did an update. Don't ever update your printer!!

I bought this printer 6 days ago, and we have struggled to make it work on Windows XP until this afternoon. Despite what the specifications sheet says, THERE IS NO DRIVER FOR WINDOWS XP TO RUN THIS PRINTER. It's probably a good little printer if it works on your system, but don't expect it to operate from a Windows XP computer.

This printer is pure garbage. Please do not waste your money and time. I wish I have read the reviews before purchasing. I used this for a few months and spent hundreds of $$ on ink. You get bad prints upon replacing the cartridges and when you follow the troubleshooting instructions half of the newly replaced ink is gone. This printer uses ink even when not in use. The one star rating is very generous.

Cannot print black and white if out of a single non black and white color. This requires you to replace the color cartridge even if more is left. Overall predatory and environmentally unethical business practices. Look into opensource printing and stay out of these larger printer companies ecosystems. You will regret it.
