Amazing Detailed Prints!

First off, in you don't know, Inkjet printers need to be used frequently at minimal. Every few days (verys based on location, humidity levels, direct sun or heat vents), to help avoid dried up inkjets. This printer is designed to print 24/7/365, with no issues. Minimal paper size, is 8x10 sheet. I have found small sheets a bit of a pain to load. Larger sheets (17 x 22 and up) and rolls are much easier. I have an Epson P800 for smaller prints. This printer is HUGE!!! Make sure you have plenty of room (plan on 76" wide), and at least 3-5 strong people to move this, to set up (5, if going up stairs). Be careful when lifting the printer out of the box, to ensure you don't break the handle guard on the bottom (like I did). Lift straight up, not one side at a time. Epson, was quick and easy to send a replacement. Epson support is great too! Now, the printer comes with a 24" double weight matte paper roll, to get started. But so far, I am blown away with my prints on various papers (and so is everyone else) using Epson supplied ICC profiles. The detail, color saturation and quality is professional fine art grade! I shoot with a Nikon D810 (36 MP) camera, so when printing large I use PS to upscale my images for print. I am very impressed! This printer can print on sheet, roll and board up to 2mm. You can print on vinyl, canvas, coated aluminum, or board. Epson and other brands offer a lot of substrate options, for various types of printing. My only complaint, is sometimes, the basket, when prints either drop into it, or are gently pushed by the printer roller, it has made minor scratches to my prints. I now, try to catch them, and walk them out to avoid reprint. This isn't used for sublimation, unless you change it to that (which will void the warranty). This can be an expensive printer to buy and maintain, so don't purchase, if you are not printing often. Otherwise, this will end up a big heavy paper weight. But if you print a lot, and want good quality large format photographic prints, this is a GREAT printer, that I highly recommend. There are options in the setup menu to set up cleaning cycles, that may be useful, but will consume ink. In summary, if you plan on printing fine art or photography often, go for it if your budget allows! You will not be disappointed. I have only had this a month or so, but I absolutely love this workhorse in my home studio.
