Bought this printer a few months ago, echo-tanks I like, little else. paper jam easily, must restart the printer, reestablish internet connection before use. Take a lot of extra time, to me its not worth the effort

I am so glad i bought this printer so many years ago now if it acts up i have real epson phone number. It is running beautiful. If you are using printer with cartridges you are wasting money. over 2 years since i thought about printer troubles

I’ve had this printer for about 2 years now and every time I have to print something I have to go into the utility first and clean the heads, usually 2-3 times. Can’t anybody make a printer that just works on demand!?!

Good luck getting this to print anything. When the mechanisms are able to actually grab a piece of paper (usually they're too weak to do so), the paper will jam 80 percent of the time. If you're lucky, your document will print crooked or will have white streaks running through it despite the fact you clean the nozzle frequently. Protip: try printing 24 hours in advance if you have any important documents. That should give you enough time to tearfully beg the printer to spit out a crumbled mess that kinda sorta looks like the document you need if you squint. Or you'll at least have time to drive to your local library and use one of their printers.

I've had this Epson ET-2550 for almost 4 years and have spent maybe $120 on ink, still have spare set of ink bottles. I buy a case of 10 rems of 500 page each of 20lb paper every 12-14 months so do a lot of printing. This EconTank printer has paid for itself a number of times over vs the well know company printers that use carterages. Only issue is the ink is filled from the side, makes it a little difficult to work with them. The newer designs where ink is filled from front is a good upgrade, but cant justify getting one just for that. The ET2550 serves me well.

I've owned this printer for a number of years. It's as faithful as day one. I'm adding another PC to my arsenal is why I'm requested to register. Don't ask me why Epson made the request. Buy one I think you'll be just as pleased as I am!

I inherited this printer from my 94 year old father. It's true....the older I got, the smarter he was!!

Even though scanning may take up many resources for OSX still, for some reason, the printing functionality and user-friendliness is great.

I have been using Epson Eco Tank printers (2) for some time so when it was time to replace the "other" brand that I was using for my third computer, it was a no brainer as to what I was going to buy.

I purchased an Epson Eco Tank and shortly after set-up was in a major 7.0 earthquake. Everything was tossed the distance of one to two rooms, or turned over. I had 60 breakage of breakable items. The printer was thrown from a 3.5 ft printer stand, across the room about 14 feet. I was amazed to find no broken parts and the inkwells perfect. Bravo Epson! I've been using your printers for 20 years. I am sold. You have a loyal customer.

Saved lots of money being able to refill ink my self. The color is great and affordable. I print lots of screen shots nowadays since many online pages cannot be copied.

I have had some great epson printers (740, 880) but the one thing I couldn't afford was the epson ink in those little cartridges so I had to use so called compatible inks from other sources. They would work for awhile but eventually they would clog the works up and I would have to waste a lot of ink doing the cleaning process or take them in to get them professionally cleaned out so it still wasn't very economical. Now with the ET-2550 I can afford to buy the Epson ink in those big bottles which cost as much as their small cartridges but last ten times longer. The printer itself is full of features and I must say it is the best printer I have ever owned. I had a Xerox All in one color laser printer before this and had to take it back after a year as it quit on me, but luckily I had taken out the Best Buy extended warranty and got all my money back and put it into this one instead. You pay more for the printer up front but you make huge savings on the ink, which is just the opposite of buying the printer cheap and then paying for low volume high priced ink. Way to go Epson!

Feom day one this thing has sucked. If you don't use it daily tou have to go through all the cleaning processes just to get it to print anything. I regret this purchase.

Have had mine for four years; overall, a winner. Changing ink could be a mess, and difficult reding correctly the proper ink levels. Clean heads regularly, and you will save a ton on buying cartridges; don’t ever do that again!

I have used this for many months now, and have only had to buy black ink once. I have printed hundreds of full color things, but still have ink left. It is better than any cartridge printer. It may cost a little more up front, but you will save a fortune not having to fool with those expensive cartridges.

I bought this printer in late 2016. I love it, except now it doesn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled program, but the ink doesn't seem to come out. Tried everything. Can't see throwing it out and getting a new one. Anyone have suggestions except for cleaning heads and all the other printed in booklet?

I brought my Epson a couple of years ago and just installed it on my new computer. It exceeded all my expectations from day one, Good printing, Good value and the ink lasts forever.

I have forgotten what it is like to buy ink. The only negative comment is the confusion when trying to figure out what the display means when changing something. A larger display with more narrative explanations would be terriffic!

Bought about 2 years ago. The initial ink supply lasted until recently so have saved a lot of money by not buying ink. cartridges. The printer is connected to our WIFI network and has performed without problem. Scanning is easy and print quality for text and pictures is very good.

There are a number of things to really like about this printer. It generally prints quickly, the quality of the printing is very good (both in black-and-white and in color), the eco-tank feature is vastly superior to ink cartridges—both in convenience and in ink replacement cost savings, and it prints a lot of pages before ink needs to be replaced. Also, the scanning feature works pretty well, albeit not as quickly as one would like. However, there are two things about this printer that have been very frustrating. The first and biggest one is that the printer frequently and for no apparent reason stops responding to any devices sending it print jobs wirelessly. The only way to fix this when it happens is to unplug the device for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and wait for it to reconnect to my home WiFi system. I have a home WiFi system that works well throughout my house—including with multiple TVs and a Pelaton bike that are both much farther away from my router than this printer is. This happens multiple times every week, sometimes in the middle of two consecutive print jobs. It makes no sense and is a very inconvenient quirk. The second main thing that I dislike about this printer relates to refilling it with ink. When you refill any ink well with its color of ink, the printer is unable to recognize that the ink well is full again. The printer indicates how much ink of any color is remaining based on the number of pages you have printed since originally filling the ink wells. But the different colors of ink do not get consumed at the same rate. The black ink, which gets used the most, typically gets used up more quickly. Because the printer cannot actually detect how much ink of any color is remaining in the printer, you end up with a very inaccurate indication by the printer of how much ink remains of each color. This requires you to manually reset the printer “memory” so that it shows a full tank of ink. The manual reset is confusing to do, AND, when you reset the ink level for one color, the printer automatically resets the level for ALL colors. Add to this that the individual ink wells—which you are supposed to be able to look at to see how low the ink supply is getting—are minimally transparent, and this makes it extremely difficult to determine how much ink you have left of any color through even a visual inspection.

When you get a new computer and printer, the first thing you want is to see if they work. Epson makes you fill out all this paper work before you see if it does work, this is maddling. This is a a big mistake they should fix.

Best printer I ever had!
By Hasilein
I had this printer and used it only on my laptop as wireless and had not downloaded the soft ware until now. My desk top PC is in repair, so I had to do it now. This printer was recommended by my son. It may cost some more then other printers, but you will get your money back, because it is so ink saving. I love to print lots of photos, so the ink last me a long time and the refill is so much more reasonable to purchase. I recommend this printer to anyone. It is not that hard to use. Love the...

Carbon Footprint Guilt No More

I purchased the Epson Eco Tank Printer, because, I love to print stuff. All kinds of stuff. I was frustrated with how quickly the tiny cartridges emptied out, and how much waste the cartridges were creating, when you considered the multitudes of people using printers, daily. This printer installed easily, takes very little space, and prints like a champ. TY Epson, I really love this printer.
