It stopped working just a few months after purchasing. The tech support desk is infuriating and clearly do not care about the customers. They FINALLY agreed to replace the machine under warranty but it will be with a refurbished unit and they do not extend the warranty so let's hope they fixed the refurbished printer correctly. I had no idea Epson had such poor customer service and will never purchase another product from them again.

I bought this printer because the ink lasts longer, because of the paper size, and my old ET 4850 printer keeps getting stuck on paper and keeps sending out messages saying it needs ink when it doesn't. The price is too high for the features it offers. It can't print photos... The printer can't be used because it can't finish the initial programming. It keeps showing an error and won't let me continue. Now I have to drive 2 hours back to the store to return it. Epson, for such an old company, should have better products!

We have been using this printer for 5 years in our office and it has been a work horse of a machine. We never connected it to the internet so I can't speak to any fax abilities, but we have had some intermittent networking issues. It has never had any problems printing from the computer it is directly connected to though, only a few times via the network. I never had to contact Epson support, so I can't speak to that process, but I am already looking to purchase another printer exactly like this for our other office. I do wish it held more paper because sometimes I feel like I'm refilling it more often if we're doing a project, but it's not all the time so it's not worth docking points for capacity on. And I'm impressed with how many prints I can get from a bottle of ink. This will print in a variety of sizes on multiple paper types. It will do 2-sided printing and full-bleed edge-to-edge printing. Standard printing is very fast, while high quality prints do take more time, but I feel like that is to be expected. Reading the reviews, I feel like the people who are complaining a lot about the product may be experiencing more "user error" than a fault with the machine. Especially the person who left 1-star review simply stating they decided not to buy an Epson based on other people's poor reviews. That shouldn't even count and that reviewer is a joke. Buy the product, use the product, then give input - that's what reviews are here for.

I bought my ET-16600 via the Certified ReNew, and even had to return the first unit and was quickly provided a replacement, so I can highly recommend the Certified ReNew program from Epson. The current unit is working great for printing and scanning, I am not using the fax feature, as I no longer use this technology. Scan to e-mail easily replaces fax approach. Print quality is good, even in duplex mode. Scan quality is also good. I bought this unit mostly for the larger format printing in color, since laser printers for this are expensive with even more expensive media, something that the EcoTank feature of the ET-16600 addresses very well in both economy and control of resources. EcoTank technology also addresses some issues I've had with traditional cartridge based printers, where the cartridges dry out or fail, thus requiring a complete replacement. My reason for giving 4 stars versus 5 is that the printer does not support dual configuration as both a USB printer as well as a Network printer. I initially started with USB connection and found no way to get the network connects to function, until I removed the USB, and removed and reinstalled drivers on the closest workstation to use network configuration. There is no mention of this limitation in documentation or setup, which would be a good start. In network mode this printer is available to all systems that need it, not just the closest system. I would by this model or a future successor again.

I brought this printer over a year ago. It is absolutely the worst printer I have had in my thirty-plus years of using printers. Getting an update almost every other month and still the printer prints erratically. Now it is no longer printer color. My very first printer with an Epson line printer. It was fabulous. What happened to Epson?

After seeing the 1 star reviews and the repeated problems that Epson is not addressing, but instead condescending to the patron telling them they are sorry look at the FAQs.. I have decided to avoid Epson. If Epson's support sucks, so to must their printers.

I will agree that it will save you on ink, because the printer does not always print for one reason or another. For a $1000.00 printer it is the most temperamental piece of machinery that you can experience. Try to print, it tells you their is no paper in the tray, or that the paper is not the corrdect size, or that the printer is busy, it jams all the time; it is just one error message after another. To complete a rush project I had to buy another $300 printer at the 11th hour. However, I must admit, it will save you money on ink.

I bought it in January and it broke in August. Because I bought it Amazon Epson would not honor my warranty. My error code was 100069 and apparently has something to do with the scanner that was never used.

Like others on here, the worst printer I have ever bought. Doesn't print properly at the 11x14 size. Epson told me it was my fault missing dots and areas of ink, on a printer that was 45 days in my possession as brand new? So Staples replaced it, but still doing the exact same missing ink on 11x14. By the way, the color of brown is not the same as black. my black background on my picture is not black and this is because this Epson printer doesn't print colors properly. I printed the same picture on a Canon at a local library and it matched the Adobe Photoshop file exactly.

I have had this printer for more than a year. It has been the most difficult printer I have ever worked with. The print quality is ok. It just almost never works the first time, it must be restarted, the computer must be restarted, the data light will stay on for hours while you wait for it to print. Have tried it directly wired to the computer, have tried it through wifi, have tried it hard wire connected to the network, I have tried it with windows computers, I have tried it with Mac computers. Always seem to have to readjust something to get it to print.

Do not waste your money on this garbage. It is not very user friendly and it is extremely difficult to get connected to my phone and laptops. Sometimes it will connect with my laptop and sometimes it doesn't want to. The support line is worthless.

This printer, as with most Epson printers is a complete piece of garbage. The only thing worse than the printer is the lack of support and the fact that Epson will excuse of lying, even if you can prove that you have only used Genuine epson printer refills. If you have been looking for a printer that does 12 x 18, you will quickly find that Epson is one of the only companies that can provide you that for this price point. However, you might as well throw your money in the garbage. The printer will work for a few months if you are lucky.

Unfortunately in this price range there are no other options to purchase a printer capable of printing 12 x 18 paper so we were stuck ordering from Epson. I will say I have had several Epson printers and they were all plagued with problems. After having this printer a few months we were unable to use the document feeder without experiencing paper jams. After 4 painful calls to support lasting over an hour they agreed that it needed to be returned. I wish I never purchased this printer.

Moving from a much loved Epson 7510 to this evil beast, I am shocked that it has the name Epson on it! Here are some of the things that I just can't believe about this POC. Automatic 2-sided printing is only available using plain paper. The number of error messages I get while printing is mind numbing and embarrassing. Resetting print preferences is an endless task. The rollers leave scratches and smudges across the face of photographs using high quality photographic paper. It's hard to believe that a printer that cost three times more than my old printer is three times more frustrating (at least!). Buy this printer only if you have unquenchable masochistic tendencies.

The wireless sometimes stops responding and have to be shutdown and restarted to work, But themain issue is the quality of the pigment print of pictures, tried all kinds of professional paper in 4x6 but the quality is abysmal, inkjets have more vibrant and true colors. The positive points are the wide format and the speed of printing, but not enough to justify. I wonder if I should have bought the 15000.

One person in an office might eventually get to know how to run this thing, to take advantage of all its features. Me, I?ll be checking the instruction book almost every time I use it! I wanted a simpler m/c that would use wider, longer-than-standard paper, but had to settle for this one because the m/c I wanted (much simpler, cheaper) is not available for who knows how long. Really, I?m not happy.

We have had this new printer in the office for 2 weeks now. The All-In-One Printer works well. We love it. The only complaint is that sometimes when you go to make copies it will ask about the page preference (even though ours does not change) and unfortunately Epson's representatives were unable to get the scanner set up for us after over an hour on hold... This printer may be a little to high-tech for our small office operation like ours. Otherwise a great product.

I placed the order for this printer online from Dell September 17, 2020. After numerous notices that it was back ordered and shipment delayed it finally arrived November 12, 2020. The package contained no instruction manual or software disc with drivers. After searching the web I found what I believe to be the appropriate software and loaded it to my computer. I also found the quick start and full owner's manuals online. Following the instructions I found in the manuals and from video tutorials I found I attempted to set the printer up with a wireless connection. The printer seemed to recognize my computer, but the computer could not find the printer. After many hours of attempting set up on my own I called Epson tech support and followed instructions given to me over the phone for many more hours. Eventually after no success the Epson tech suggested I call Microsoft support. Morel hours spent with Microsoft repeating much of what I was told to do by Epson tech support still failed to resolve the problem. I continued attempting to solve the problem on my own and after weeks of still making no wireless connection I ordered a USB printer cable thinking a wired connection should be easier to achieve. My computer now seems to recognize the presence of the printer, but when I attempt to print I now get a server error and still can not make a print. I have succeeded in making prints from files on a jump drive connected through the printer's front USB port, and have used the copy mode, so I know the printer itself is working. Now nearly four months after placing my order and two months after receiving the printer I feel like this machine taking up space in my office amounts to little more than a very expensive paperweight that can also be used as a copy machine. I am frustrated and disappointed and unsure of what to do next.

It is ready to print very soon after powering up (probably less than 30 seconds). It prints fast and loads the next sheet of paper to print as it finishes printing the current sheet, thereby reducing printing time. Unpacking, filling with ink, and initial setup were easy. The touch screen works well.

My spouse and I purchased this printer to replace an HP AIO, a Brother laser printer and an Epson XP-950 three-in-one. We used these printers for personal use and a home-based business but will be moving to a condominium and there will not be space for all three printers. This is a large and heavy printer. It was challenging to get it out of the shipping box. I did not realize until I was lifting it around our home office onto a table that there is a small sticker on the side of the printer which calls for two persons to do the lifting but there was no such warning on the shipping box itself (not that I could find). I would strongly recommend that two adults extract the printer and position it as required. There are several blue tape strips holding the various components together, so it is very important to look inside and out to remove them. There are setup instructions for connecting the printer, in step order. Filling the ink tanks was easy and the process went quickly, and the levels filled to the ½ point. The Wi-Fi set up (it can be configured with a USB or Ethernet connection as well) was straightforward. We set up both paper trays for letter and legal sizes; the legal paper tray is easily selected through software and we appreciate the legal size for printing spreadsheets. We have also been using the 11 X 17 configuration in cassette 2 to print and scan [and enlarge] oversize documents, especially drawings associated with our new condo. The included software set up CD would not run on any of our computers and I ended up downloading the software directly from Epson; I do not know why Epson bothers to include the disk. After the download, set up was relatively easy on our home network and the software was installed on three laptops and one desktop, and on two Samsung devices [phone and tablet]. Strangely, on some computers, not all of the suite of Epson software was installed and on one, only the printing software was installed. We have had to reinstall the entire software suite on three of the four computers. One important reason for choosing this printer was the number of documents, diplomas, certificates, print photos and pieces of artwork [the latter from our from our children and grandchildren] that we wanted to preserve digitally as we knew we would not have the room to store them in the condo once we moved. This printer handles the tasks easily, scanning anything up to 11 X 17. It handles printing, copying [see below for issues] and faxing very well. While faxing may not be in use much these days, we have to use it to order legal documents from the province in which we live, for our business. It also comes in handy faxing home improvement contracts and medical documents. In our six months of use, we have been generally pleased with our investment. However, we have experienced the following issues: • Colour printing is quite slow (advertised at 12 ppm); we’re not sure if that is indicative of the amount of colour on a given page, Wi-Fi speed, browser issues, etc. • The Wi-Fi connection drops occasionally for some reason, resulting in a queue of documents to print; turning the printer on and off generally solves this issue, however, we have not been able to determine why this occurs. The printer is located about 30 cm from our home network router. Once we move to our condo, we plan to configure it through an Ethernet connection. • We have also experienced frustration in getting documents to copy using the automatic document feeder - in spite of the ADF light appearing on the control panel, I keep getting a message that I have to copy from the platen. We have no problem getting faxes or scans to work from the ADF – strange. • Heavier paper [eg. like that used for greeting cards, etc., also known as cardstock] does not print in either simplex or duplex, resulting in printer jams; given the size of this printer, it is a challenge to open up the necessary covers and rear duplexer to extract the damaged paper. Incidentally, my HP all-in-one handles this weight of paper without problem. • The paper type in the printer settings and those specified in the software must match EXACTLY. We have found this frustrating at times when we get an error message about the mismatch and then must determine where the settings are at odds. • The Maintenance Box tab in the Supply Status window sits at about 75%, however, I am not sure what this status bar means; is there something that has to be installed when this “box” no longer works? I note that some reviewers have needed one, and, apparently Epson does not have them, rendering their printers unusable? In six months of use, we have printed: • 1438 prints, of which 346 were black and white and 1092 were colour. • The total printing has reduced our ink levels by about 25% from when we initially filled the tanks; the levels are now at 25%. If we continue at the present rate, we will need to refill the tanks by mid-2021. We believe the advertising for this printer indicated 2 years of ink; we now believe that means if the tank is filled to capacity. I would recommend this printer for home business/home office use.

This printer has been amazing. The Epson Eco-Tank ET-16600 all-in-one printer has been exceeding all my expectations. This machine is a “beast” it can handle all of my printing, scanning, and copying needs. (It also can fax, but I do not have a fax #) Set up was easy. We set the printer up wirelessly. We were up and running in 20 minutes. We have printed, copied and scanned and it is so much faster then any of our old printers. The scanning options were impressive too. Before it scans to you...
