Purchased for a senior citizen. Basic all-in-one with ecotank seemed to be a good buy until 6-months in, the nozzles clogged and could not be fixed using the usual maintenance protocol. Manual cleaning was needed (a complicated process for most). Expensive for only getting 6 months out of this printer as, ultimately, needed to buy a new printer as a replacement (went with a different model).

This printer is absolute trash. It never works, it wastes tons of ink, and when it does work the print quality is atrocious. The original version of this printer had good reviews but apparently they decided to destroy it and make a piece of junk. I hate Epson.

So frustrated trying to connect an HP Printer to my network. Gave up and purchased the ET-2800. Followed the tutorials. It connected to my internet without a hitch. Thank you Epson for making a printer that is easy to install!

I bought this on January 25, 2025. On January 26, 2025 it decided it no longer wanted to work. I tried every trouble shooting technique on the planet, just some weird feeding issue. Not sure it's worth it if it has to be replaced annually.

I wanted to like this printer because the EcoTank ink system is genuinely economical, but the manual duplex experience makes this model frustrating to use in real life, especially on macOS. This printer does not support automatic duplex, and manual duplex is advertised as a workaround, but in practice it's nearly unusable. The driver behavior and paper feed order are inconsistent and poorly explained. When printing odd pages first and then even pages, the printer outputs pages in reverse order, causing backsides to land on the wrong sheets unless you manually reverse page order every single time and babysit the process. On macOS, the Epson software adds more confusion by restarting or reordering jobs unexpectedly if the laptop sleeps or the app refreshes. A single interruption can ruin an entire print job. This is not user error, it's a design limitation combined with unclear driver behavior. If you only ever print single-sided documents, this may be fine. But if you expect to print multi-page documents double-sided, even manually, this printer will waste paper, time, and patience. Bottom line: Cheap ink doesn't matter if basic document printing is this cumbersome.

I love this Product . It was so easy to set up . I am really impressed with tanks of ink . The amount of printing that I do everyday has already increased because of the tanks of ink . I use to go through a cartridge black ink every 2 days . I do genealogy which involves a lot of printing of documents. Love the Epson 2800

I am so disappointed with this printer. I had no idea it does not support printing on both sides of the paper. It didn't even occur to me to ask if it did. One would assume that would be a given. Also it took nearly 3 hours to figure out how to install it. I wish I could take it back but I'm sure Best Buy won't refund after we've unpacked, and added the ink.

Used for just over a year. Needed a inkpad replaced. Would have cost an arm and a leg as hey wouldn't warranty it. For the price of it, should have lasted longer. Called epson customer service. They were terrible and talked down to me. DO NOT BUY ANY EPSON PRODUCT. THE COST ALOT AND DO NOT WORK FOR LONG. THEIR SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE

Two stars because [1] I've used Epson for YEARS (both commercially and personally) and [2] the EcoTank ET-2800? well, the second star was for my hope of this being my last needed printer. So, one star for loyalty and one star for hope. But those things don't get the job done. This printer doesn't get anything done! Purchased and used from December 2022 to December 2025 and the results just keep getting worse. And so much time and paper and ink are wasted due to testing, aligning, and cleaning. These procedures need to be done before EVERY page is printed. Sigh. Like another reviewer stated, "there's no good price for a bad printer". Maybe this printer will work for you, but I want my money back so I can purchase a functioning printer. (P.S. The "quiet mode" is extremely loud. Sleeping babies beware.)

I can't comment on the Wi-Fi setup as I'm only using my USB cord from my old Canon Pixma which this replaces but it works fine with Windows 11. It's cute and fairly light and setup really is as easy as they claimed to fill the tanks (see photo). After which you let it do its' thing for 11 mins. But controls take a bit to get used to as the printer screen is so small it's almost useless and even the online settings can be confusing compared to my old Canon but it's sheet feeder is much better. Here's a few things to watch: PRINT & COLOUR seemed a bit washed out at first until I discovered that Epson's preset 'Standard' quality is actually 'Draft' quality. So set it at 'High' quality and leave it as your preset quality and your colours will look much better. SCAN & COPY is the same for appearing washed out. There is no high qualit setting here but after you press copy on the printer, push once on the down arrow and it will show a density option. Set it 1 to 2 clicks darker and your copy should come out just like the original. And finally one other observation. You won't see colours in the tank windows, instead you'll simply see them go from light grey to darker gray. See my closeup photo. The left tank is the black and is down about 10% from full. The colour ink levels haven't yet budged. In dim light you won't be able to see the levels unless you use a flashlight. Overall, I'm quite impressed with this new machine and no problem with ink as the ink that came with it is good until 2030 or so the cartridges said.

Printer was delivered today and it is amazing. It was so easy to set up with the downloaded app to my phone and walked me right through setting it up. The setup on my computer was just as easy. The printer is lightweight and takes up very little room. I love the printer window. Hopefully, the ink windows will be easy to read. My 2700 was not easy to see when it needed ink.

The print quality seems pretty good. I can not get my iPhone 16 pro to print to it. My old iPad and MAC print to it just fine. I have just set it up. Plan to play with it more. If my phone won't print to it, I will probably return it.

I have had this printer for 2 years. I will not connect to my work computer to scan. Printing is fine but it will not scan. When scanning you must continually add pages to the flat bed. Pages will not load via paper feed. Probably would not buy this printer again.

This printer is a terrible choice if you are using EERO or some other WIFI home web that uses both a 2.5 GHZ and 5 GHZ bands. If your computer, tablet or phone is accessing your EERO on 5 GHZ your Epson printer will NOT work.

Had problems with color and would just print in pink. Searched online and many people had this problem. This printer works well but if not used regularly, the color print might give you problems. Went into Maintenance on the printer and tried Head Cleaning (#2 item) over and over. Tried again the next day and ran head cleaner about 6 times when final printout showed all colors were working again; before it only showed the black and pink in colors. This is not made very clear when purchasing this printer. Set-up was not too bad and had just recommended this printer to a friend. Hopefully she will not have this same problem as she is not tech savy. Except for the color printing, it works well. Epson needs to fix the cleaning heads issues and make them work better.

I am having an issue with my Epson ET-2800 All-in-One. When I try to scan, the printer asks me to choose between "Computer (USB Connection)" or "Last User." After selecting either option, it shows an error message and does not scan. I have been struggling with this problem for a long time and have tried many times to fix it, but nothing works. I haven't had a color printer in probably 10 years. Saw this one and liked it, BUT I am Mac forever and this is not built for a Mac. I wish there was a desktop icon that I could control printing and scanning without having to go to the tiny readout on the printer. THAT is just me!
