I bought this projector expecting to have a good brand quality projector to last atleast a few years. Projector worked great at first, easy to use, good picture quality, good size, not too loud of a fan. The problem is that the Projector was used only a few times for movies over the summer, was not used for awhile, and the following summer it stopped working. Of course shortly after the warranty expired. After taking it to a service department it's determined to need the primary circuit board replaced. Between the cost of the part and labor it makes it not worth the repair. After speaking with Epson service department hoping they would be willing to provide the replacement part for me to provide to the service center they said "it's more cost effective to replace than repair". I guess there is a low expectation for these projectors to last is even by Epson.

I've had 2 other projectors it puts them to shame. Double the picture size and nice colors. I play is on the wall no screen needed. Worth the money you get what you pay for. Also, Customer service. The projector burned out, called customer service to see where I could get it fixed. They said I could get a replacement :-). I'm a Epson Man!

UNBELIEVABLE! This projector looks like a smart tv screen. Brightness is amazing--and we don't even have it on It's brightest settings so the fan runs quietly. I really feel like we just bought a 100 inch tv with an awesome picture. Daylight? NO PROBLEM--still watchable. We had a really cheap one before this-- not even a comparison. Excellent investment, highly recommended.

Hands down way better than having a large screen tv. For one, the picture is way bigger than anything a normal wage earner could afford. In fact, I could buy 3 of these for the price of a 75 inch tv these days (if the price of a 75 inch was $900). Granted, you are not getting 4k but it is 1080p which is all I need. The picture is even bright enough during the day. All in all, I won't be going back to conventional tvs any time soon.

to be fair, I have only had this a week, but this setup took over an hour just because the directions were insufficient and very clumsy. The software using the scanner is also very clumsy! There are too many clicks in order for me to do the scan, name it and email it to someone or myself. I will update this review when I am more familiar – and it might go in either direction. BTW – I have worked with 5 or 6 scanners already over the past 15 years.

Very happy with this projector. Images are sharp and bright color. Don’t rely too much on the speaker though. Hope it will last for long

I bought the projector four weeks ago. It was easy to set up and projected a bright, clear picture. I used it outdoors and had a 100” screen. There was some daylight when I started and the picture was bright and clear. The only thing I would like to have on this projector would be an audio out source. The speaker is a little weak for movie watching but I pull the audio out of the hdmi signal before the picture with other equipment . I would recommend this projector to anyone wanting a low cost efficient projector that has a very high quality picture.

With social distancing sharing a movie with friends and family is near impossible, but with this projector we had outdoors movies and everybody had a great time. Glad we purchased this, would do it again. Works just as advertised.

Been using projectors now for over 20 years. I've seen quite a transformation from the early days to now. This is my first Epson projector after using Optoma projectors only. Last year we purchased the Epson 2100 for my sister-in-law for Christmas and was blown away by the image of this projector! The color was the first thing that I noticed. It was so rich and so bright, incredible. Since out bulb was about to go on the Optoma, we decided to purchased a new projector instead of spending money on our old one, so glad we did! Being a film maker myself who has spent hours color correcting my work, I understand image quality maybe more than others. (Just A Spark Films) For my standard of choice I use Blade Runner 2049 on BluRay filmed by the incredible cinematographer Roger Deakins. You'll never see in any of his films an overexposed image. So as I was tweaking the settings, I wish I had once more control option, maybe there is on the higher end projectors? Understanding brightness and contrast has a direct affect on color saturation, so after two days of tweaking I'm finally happy with the image, however it would be nice to have more control on not image brightness, but projector brightness. Just having the 4 modes of game, cinema, bright cinema could be better if I could actually control the light output without changing my brightness and contrast. Case in point, when I color correct my films, I turn off the lights in my office and turn down the brightness of my computer monitor to get a better sense of the color. Over all, I'm very impressed with this projector and I will not be purchasing any more Optoma projectors, this Epson Projector is light years ahead of any Optoma I"ve ever had. To truly appreciate this projector, watch two Roger Deakins films, Skyfall and Bladerunner 2049. The cinematography is some of the best I've ever seen on screen! Thanks Epson for giving me this gift to enjoy great cinema.

I bought this a day ago and could not be more pleased with the picture and easy setup. The speaker is for sure subpar as most reviewers indicated but a blue tooth external speaker works great. Setup was simple and it worked great out of the box. For home backyard video and price point this is the top of the line buy

I BOUGHT THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO AND THE PICTURE IS GREAT, THE ABILITY TO CONNECT MY PHONE THROUGH IT IS GREAT. BUT TO HAVE TO BUY HDMI AUDIO EXTRACTOR TO GET IT TO WORK WITH EXTERNAL SPEAKERS IS A BIT ANNOYING.

I bought this epson projector to keep the kids entertained at home while "stay at home" due to COVID19 pandemic. The lumens/brightness is a great. I can watch movies both day and night. The cooling fans are fairly quiet. My only regret is that this projector does not have a audio output port. I still am very satisfied with this product.

Really good pic quality...Limited audio connection options. Havent been able to connect it to wireless soundbar (could be user error). The fan blows warm air so it heats up a media room pretty easily

I bought this projector a month ago. It is bright enough to be used in a room with normal lighting. The widescreen aspect ratio allowed a bigger image on the screen as no letterboxing was required. A low cost, portable alternative to a large LCD display. The color accuracy was good as was the brightness. It did not have the dull, "projector look," that one would get with an older projector. The value was excellent. One of my best purchases in years.

I had to relocate the projector much closer to the screen as the throw is much further than my previous projector. The picture is very sharp and clear.

Initially purchased a cheap brand from Amazon(wouldn't say brand) but after I upgraded to this, it's a night and day difference. Simply amazing. Lesson learnt "always stick to reputed brands". Well I'm using a white reflective projection screen but I think ALR type screen is best suitable for this model.

I bought this projector for my first home theater system. It has a great picture and was easy to install. Only problem is you see a few tiny blue specks on the screen when it's dark. Kinda looks like a bad pixel you would see on a led television. Going to call Bestbuy to see if this can be fixed.

Bought this as a broken box at Best Buy, after reading the reviews... I wanted it for our outdoor screen especially for SuperBowl.. What a fantastic Picture, bright even at 515 in the afternoon you could still see the picture on the screen, of course even better once the sun had set

Nice clear picture, very bright. This is my second unit, the first one died after a year but was replaced promptly by HP. They paid shipping both ways, no cost to me.
