Product defect

Most of these projectors will fail within 3-4 years of normal use due to a non-adequate plastic gear box part in the Cinema Filter assembly. Epson needs to issue a proper product recall. And until they do don't buy any of their products!

Do not buy!!

i have hardware failure after 4 years, purple verticle line. Will have to ship to a service center and then have them run diagnostics. Would be over 1000$ to have it fixed if possible. I called epson and they offered a discount on a referbished unit. This makes me think its a common problem. I would say skip epson all together and go with a another brand! Will be a paper weight in 3 to 4 years.

Great unit, flexible placement
