MAURICE A : How much difference between Luster and Ultra premium Glossy on #5 13X19 nature shots,,,which one is more recommended ?? ..have been using #4 Glossy for some time on my Stylus 1400 printer.JUDY S : the paper is for my husband who has been a photographer for over 50 years and he is picky. he says the depth of the epson papers is excellent and the shadings in the shadows is easy to control. luster always gives a more saturated and yet softer feel to the colors. the whites are very clean but on the warm side compared to the glossy papers. the ultra premium luster is a look that is richer than any glossy surface. he uses the same paper for the r-2400 pro and the 7880 pro printers. some people think a luster paper doesnt look as sharp in detail, but in his opinion, that's not the case. in the case of portraiture vs. wildlife or scenic work, the finish on the luster can't be bested.RICHARD J : I use Ultra Premium Luster as my only paper. It yields deep, rich color but it is not glossy. Semi-glossy would be much more accurate. I feel my prints with Ultra Luster look very rich, but they are not the glossy that man in our photo club use for competition. Hope this helps.M C : I don't use glossy paper for large nature shots. I use Luster or Matte however this is my personal preference, not based on quality or performance of the glossy paper.STEVE S : There is no right answer- personal preference plays a big part. However, the Luster is "in-between" glossy and matte paper- I like it a lot for that reason. I've printed both color and B&W on the Epson luster paper and am very satisfied. You can pay a lot more for fine art paper and the difference is not, in my opinion, huge. I recommend the Epson Luster for relatively inexpensive, very nice paper (I use the Epson 2880 printer).HERBERT P : I have switched from glossy to Luster and don't plan to switch back. It is just slightly off glossy and produces nice sharp colorful images that in my view are a bit softer and more appealing to the eye than glossy. When on display, glossy can produce an undesirable mirror effect if there are contrasty objects in the room. Luster doesn't reflect the viewing area like that.R C S : Its a matter of preference. The glossy gives to my mind a more commercial image, while the luster gives more of a fine art image. For nature shots, i would choose the luster, as I think they call for a softer presentation.MARY S : In my experience, glossy is never the answer. Best paper so far

I bought this paper to use with the Epson ET-8550 printer. So far is the best results using my Printer. The quality, texture and brightness of this paper is perfection. Great for portraits and landscapes. I highly recommend it!

Does what it's supposed to do!

My Photo professor required we get this paper to print on. It seems pretty legit. He says there are better quality versions out there but that this is a great happy medium for semi-pro quality prints.

Lightweight contender

Excellent color reproduction. Rather lightweight. Using w/Epson Stylus R3000, I consistently get a bend in top right corner(roller grab?). This doesn?t occur w/heavier weight paper.

Great option for professional quality digital prints

Exactly as advertised, clean cut and sturdy sheets of luster photo paper. These sheets are perfect for professional quality prints and are affordable to be used for a variety of needs. In my practice I use these with an Epson printer and I couldn't ask for more with the results. Contact with fingers or oily skin does leave some visible residue, as should be expected. Easy to cut if needed. Highly recommend.

I bought this paper to use with the Epson SureColor P800 printer, using the UltraChrome HD inks, with good quality. It turns out that I get better results using my Epson Stylus Photo R380, which uses the Claria Hi-Def ink. The quality and texture of this paper is perfection. Great for portraits. I print 8.5x11 pictures rarely, but I finally tried Epson Luster and I am amazed. The picture looks wonderful, no other paper can be better. I use Epson Artisan 837 and this was the best photo I ever printed. I can say that printing from RAW and from professional camera "probably" helped.
