David S : What size mat and frame for a 17x22 print? I'm having trouble finding standard sizes that work. ThanksART S : There are multiple parts to this: 1.) Are you making your print a "full bleed"? That is, will your print go right to the edges of the paper? Or are you going to allow for the default white border? You answer will determine the size of the actual image you are framing. Paper size does not matter, it is the image dimensions that matter for framing. 2.) You might not select either full bleed or default boarder - it all depends on your image. You may want to make the image proportions different from the standard paper size. A true landscape, for example, might look best if it uses full width but not full height, to emphasize the panorama. 3.) Making this a little more complicated, this same paper is also available in roll form, and you can cut into sheets from the roll. So you could do a landscape print that is, for example, 36" wide x 16" high. Or reverse the direction for a photo of a child holding a balloon on a long string. 4.) Once you know the size and shape of your print, you have 3 presentation choices: - Add a mat - Frame right to the edges of the print with no mat - Leave extra white space around your print, with no mat. This is the classic way of framing photographs, and is also the easiest and cheapest. Or you can paste your print to an oversize sheet of white, black or colored art board to create a white, black or colored border. 5. When you get all done with these layout and design considerations, or even if you just use the 17 x 22 sheet as it is, it's not so easy to find a "standard" frame that will have the right proportions. So I order all of my frames from the pictureframes site, which sells affordable custom frames in many, many styles. You pick the frame style you want and plug in your image dimensions, and it calculates your custom frame. You can upload your image to see what the complete result will look like. If you specify that you want a mat, it will work from your image size and then recalculate the frame size to fit around the mat.

Besides, when printing pictures and selecting the type of paper you are using on the printer menu, the printer will automatically use the right catridge to print depending on those settings. Remember, this is photo paper, so you use photo black.ART S : The printer selects the ink automatically, so I really don't know which of the blacks it uses. I think it is photo black, but not sure. If you print a test, and you have specified that paper, you should be able to view the black selection in the little display window on the printer. My Photo professor required we get this paper to print on. It seems pretty legit. He says there are better quality versions out there but that this is a great happy medium for semi-pro quality prints.

Lightweight contender

Excellent color reproduction. Rather lightweight. Using w/Epson Stylus R3000, I consistently get a bend in top right corner(roller grab?). This doesn?t occur w/heavier weight paper.

Great option for professional quality digital prints

Exactly as advertised, clean cut and sturdy sheets of luster photo paper. These sheets are perfect for professional quality prints and are affordable to be used for a variety of needs. In my practice I use these with an Epson printer and I couldn't ask for more with the results. Contact with fingers or oily skin does leave some visible residue, as should be expected. Easy to cut if needed. Highly recommend.

I bought this paper to use with the Epson SureColor P800 printer, using the UltraChrome HD inks, with good quality. It turns out that I get better results using my Epson Stylus Photo R380, which uses the Claria Hi-Def ink. The quality and texture of this paper is perfection. Great for portraits. I print 8.5x11 pictures rarely, but I finally tried Epson Luster and I am amazed. The picture looks wonderful, no other paper can be better. I use Epson Artisan 837 and this was the best photo I ever printed. I can say that printing from RAW and from professional camera "probably" helped.
