It is a great paper but I feel like the images you can get the proper results from for this paper are limited. I purchased for a school project and have not used it since.

Epson Hot Press Natural and Hot Press Bright are my two favorite papers. Period. We print black and white on the natural and color on the bright. The very smooth (but NOT glossy!) surfaces of these two papers presents my images flawlessly without the distraction of an apparent paper surface. The Ink and the image are all that there is to see. Finally, using these Epson designed papers on Epson printers simply makes sense. The engineers who design the machines and the ones who design the papers know each other and work together to perfect performance in both realms. I am not subsidized or supported or paid be Epson in any way. I am happy to sing their praises because I do not want them ever to stop making this paper!

Compares well with the other smooth surface matte papers I prefer - Epson Ultrasmooth Fine Art and Museo Poertfolio Rag. Works well on my printer with the Epson generic profile for my printer.

After reading numerous positive reviews of Epson Hot Press Bright (and Natural) papers I purchased a box. Yes, they're a little more expensive than some, but absolutely worth the price. They're outstanding papers, with great feel, rich saturated colors and most importantly for me, deep blacks and excellent tonal reproduction. Simply the best papers I've ever used.

i'm thrilled with this paper. The ICC profile I downloaded produces a print that perfectly matches my monitor. It has surprising detail for a matt paper and I love the heavy weight/feel in the hand. It's my first choice for portfolio photographs where a matt paper is called for.

Offering advanced reproduction capabilities for the fine art market, the new Hot Press Bright, Cold Press Bright, Hot Press Natural, and Cold Press Natural papers are poised to redefine fine art reproduction.
The series of Epson fine art papers were inspired by the hand craftsmanship of artisans who developed the first watercolor papers, and were vigorously tested to ensure prints have the highest print quality with consistency roll-to-roll and sheet-to-sheet.
In combination with Epson professional printers, these Signature Worthy fine art papers deliver the industry with reproductions that are the closest thing to an original piece of art.
Optimized for use with Epson inks, including new Epson UltraChrome HDR ink technology found in the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900, the new Signature Worthy Hot Press and Cold Press Papers yield richer blacks, smoother tonal transitions and an expanded color gamut to produce the most advanced fine art prints.
The Hot Press papers offer a smooth surface and Cold Press papers offer a textured surface. In addition, Hot Press and Cold Press Bright offer a bright white point, while the Hot Press and Cold Press Natural offer a warm white point.
