Questions & Answers

OPHELIA E : I have a 2200 printer, can I use this paper with this printer?HARRY F : I believe that you can use this paper with your printer. I have a 3880 and use this paper for my very best exhibition prints. The surface is soft gloss, not the bright shiny glossy that you may be looking for. I cannot say enough good things about how this paper produces beautiful, "juicy" and dramatic images. It is wonderfully sturdy and damage resistant. The shine is subtle and reduces the troublesome reflections that regular gloss papers produce. Even better is the fact that errant fingerprints or dust specks are reduced almost completely. For larger exhibitions lately I have displayed my prints without glazing or framing. I mount them on thick archival board and attach two hangers to the back. The galleries are pleased that the prints are lightweight and easy to hang. Gallery etiquette is usually well observed and visitors aren't as likely to touch a fine art photo print. Without using framing, the strength of the images really get to show their stuff without distraction. In any case, BUY THIS FANTASTIC and durable paper!HUGH S : Yes, you can use Exhibition Fiber Paper with the 2200 printer. The results will likely vary depending upon the profile used or developed. I have excellent results using the PixelGenius profile for my R2400 printer. The machine difference may be slight, but the K3 is a different ink. Anyway, you will likely need a custom profile. Otherwise, I would use a "Premium Luster" media type, load single sheet (probably manual feed), Photo Black ink, and if you can, raise the platen height. I used a 2200 for a few years but don't remember if there is a wide setting for the platen. The R2400 only has a Thick Paper check box, but I always use it with the Exhibition Fiber.CURTIS W : you should be able to use the Exhibition paper, it's a fairly thick paper but I don't have any problems with my 3800.AVRUM M : Great paper..........no problem with a 2200 printer. Make sure that you use the appropriate paper setting for the printerTM S : Yes you can. You can use any of the Epsom fine art papers with the 2200. I had one myself and use a lot of their fine art line of papers.MARCUS R : I use it nicely with a 3880 Epson printer. Check if the 2200 is similar except for the size. I suspect it is.ROBERT S : It's time to buy a new printer
Shopper : glossy or semi-glossy print setting? arleneROBERT S : glossyVIC G : Semi gloss setting HUGH S : Personal choice. A "semi-glossy" or "luster" setting will deliver more ink to the paper. Epson recommends "glossy".RICHARD F : It is a semi gloss paperMICHEL J : Excellent question! I use "Premium Luster 260" as recommended by Dubovoy and Reichmann in their review on www.Luminous-Landscape. comALFRED P : Epson Exhibition Fine Art Fiber Paper I have is listed as "Soft Gloss" on the package. I used a Macintosh computer and a Stylus Pro 4900 inkjet printer and the setting I use under Print Profile for this paper is: "Epson Stylus Pro 4900 Glossy Photo" FreddyJOHN P : I have an Epson 3880 printer. I print through Lightroom. The Lightroom print box is set to glossy, 16 Bit and the profile is SP3880 EFP PK 2880v1.icc. Then in the print settings dialog I set the media type to Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster.SAYEED M : If you are printing with an Epson printer, then set it to "Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster". Also, don't forget to install the printer ICC profile from Epson's site and use that in the printing process. If you have any other question, please don't hesitate to ask. You will LOVE the prints on this paper. Specifically B&W prints just shines!DAVIS G : For prints used in a museum exhibition printed from my Epson Stylus Photo 2200 I used the glossy setting. Loved the results.SHELDON G : It's actually Premium Luster paper setting. ShelFredric S : I am able to use the setting for Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster - this choice is available along with glossy and semi gloss under Media type in the Epson Driver on my Mac.BARRY V : GlossySEAN S : Doesn't make much of a difference, but I stuck with semi. The profile from Epson worked well just remember to click the 16 Bit Output box to the right.TM S : I use gloss setting and am always happy with my results. The surface is gloss, it just has a slight texture.TIM M : You should set your printer for glossy (photo black).WILLIAM B : It has more like a luster or semi-gloss sheen, but without the "plastic" look of most semi-gloss papers. Definitely not the look of a glossy photo paper.ROBERT J : Glossy.CHARLES T : I have always used the glossy setting and been very satisfied with the images.CURTIS W : Glossy
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?JIM S : I wanted a photography paper that I could use for printing color and Black/White pictures that would be true to each media (color and B/W). I have used Epson paper for years and find it to be the best solution for my needsCALVIN K : high quality paper and dependableCHRISTOPHER B : I have use Ilford papers before. I read the reviews and decided to try this one for printing some monochrome images for an exhibition.Mirle F : quality of paperAMY O : Love the way it printsALLUN H : I’ve heard great things about this paper. New to Epson products and wanted to give it a try.KIRA H : I needed a good paper that was less expensive than baryta. If you're used to the surface of baryta this one might trip you up a bit, but when looked at head-on, it's beautiful! Gorgeous for both black and white and color.Louis B : Good price & with fast service - what else could you ask for?william l : favorite for black and white and color . great surfaceALVIN W : This is great paper and I just noticed Im down to my last sheets. Time to order more!WILLIAM B : Ive used it before .HERMAN Z : Previous use.JAMES P : Love the quality of print.KATHERINE F : Appearance resembles traditional photographic papers - color rendition is excellentNICK D : Great quality paper. I use this for all of my exhibits.

Exhibition Fine art Glossy Paper

Soft gloss, but very close to the photo papers I used back in the dark room wet processing days. With digital cameras and great printers, much sharper than any prints that could be achieved with film.

Review of Epson Exhibition Fiber inkjet paper.

I've used several glossy inkjet papers and have found Epson Exhibition Fiber to be the most satisfactory. I much prefer fiber based papers that resemble traditional darkroom papers. Working primarily in B&W, I find this paper has greatly minimized gloss differential and bronzing, which are two of the most irritating features of glossy inkjet paper. The whites are bright and neutral, and the paper produces deep rich blacks with good separation of adjacent tonalities. I only wish Epson would put it out in 17x25" sheet size.

Great Paper

Love the weight and finish and in most cases, love the color reproduction. For black and white, I generally prefer Canson for contrasty prints, but for softer (foggy) I can use the Exhibition Fiber for a warm tone, but if I want a whiter look for snow, I use Epson Hot Press Bright, a matte finish paper. Color is good, but is a bit weak with blue tones.

GREAT PAPER

My fovorite paper, I like everthing about it. For many years I used F surface papers which I air-dryed, this paper is what I was searching for to get the look I had in the darkroom.

This is my go to paper, for when "only the best" will do. It prints what I see on my screen, weather I use the icc profiles, or not. I highly recommend it.

Professional Looking Prints at Home

This paper in combination with the Epson SureColor P400 printer produces beautiful prints that are very difficult to distinguish from professional lab prints. The paper reminds of RC gloss paper I used to use in the darkroom. You need to be sure to use the rear paper feed for fine art paper.

The exhibition paper is high quality and pretty thick. I'm using it for black and white graphic design. If it was a little cheaper that would be awesome.

Lovely paper - shame about the new packaging

This paper was out of stock for months, and it's just beginning to ship again. I just received the first of my two back-ordered "boxes". That's in quotes, because the lovely boxes that this paper used to come in are now some very flimsy pieces of corrugated cardboard. Also, the price gone up by $ a box. Hang on to your old boxes!

GREAT PAPER

Using an Epson 3800, its the best so far. I use it to exhibit all my work. I use other (luster) paper for non-exhibit work. May need slight adjustment in color or density (depending on your monitor) but once you have it locked in, you'll be happy.

Colors were true and vivid and overall images appeared very close to how they looked after editing on the computer

I used Epson's Exhibition fiber paper for my class project in Digital Darkroom and found the results very satisfactory. Colors were true and vivid and overall images appeared very close to how they looked after editing on the computer. I had one sheet unusable for final prints because of a small black speck but I can use this sheet for testing in the future.

Boffo Boxoffice

What a joy! epson exhibition paper and my pro 3800 are a match made in heaven. I made 75 identical prints over a two day period. the last one was just as stellar as the first. By the way did I say that the image was that of an art deco box office.

Beautiful Paper

After trying several types from different brands, this one is far better than others. Combine it with an Epson 3800 or 3880 with correct settings, it is the best I have seen so far. I sell my prints and exhibit in shows and it is now the only paper I use.

Remarkable Tonality

I had heard that Epson was working with some top digital photographers to produce an inkjet paper that would meet or exceed the performance of traditional silver prints. Being a fan of classic black and white prints,I obtained some trial sheets of the new "Signature Worthy Exhibition" paper. The paper looks and feels great having just the right gsm to feel solid but not too heavy that it will cause any printing problems. I made a test print of a rather high dynamic range photo with deep sh...
