It is simple, fast and for the most part, fairly accurate. Can't really expect any program to be able to transcribe 100 of the information when the print quality is not great. But, to be fair, if one stays on top of the receipts and process them in a timely fashion the chances of errors decreases considerably.

I bought this about 3 years ago and I fight trying to get it to connect every time I use the thing. There is no reason for it to be this difficult.

Can't get the wifi recognized even after it's connected I know it's connected as the router has the epson scanner in the wifi list but the software does not find the scanner after repeated tries

I loved the features and software of this product until they pushed out an update that 'bricked' a perfectly fine machine. Guess what out of warranty! Their updated bricked their equipment at my expense. SO silly me I bought another but this one doesn't have the blue scan button work. I have to initiate all scans from my computer. It would be nice to have had some consideration in my favor. So, the best I can do is share my pleasant experience with all of you fine folks. Cheers!

I ordered this scanner directly from Epson website. It was assured to me that this would reliably gather the information from receipts & invoices without requiring manual entry of basic data, like totals, gst, vendor, date. After ordering, it took over 2 weeks for this to show up. I tested this scanner out, and immediately realized that this scanner would not work for me. The software, which is a big part of the big price tag on these, cannot gather the information from multi-page receipts/invoices. As a business, I'm often getting receipts from suppliers that are 2-4 pages long, with some information on the front page, and tax and total information on the final page. With the included software, I cannot treat a multi-page receipt/invoice as a single document, and therefore have to choose which page I take the information from. Not only that, but it's not consistent with picking up the information that is on the front pages. There's a lot of error-fixing with this program. So I decided I needed to return this, as it's no help to me at all-- fixing errors is more time consuming than just entering the information into my database. Upon contacting Epson, I was informed that they will only accept returns within 30 days of the ORDER date, and the day it was received (over 2 weeks later) is irrelevant. Carrie from customer service suggested I should try and sell it secondhand -- really? Anyways, be warned. If all you need is to scan fuel receipts, tech support told me it's good for this, but if you get full-page receipts, it's not accurate or reliable. Don't trust their return policy, as it's only there to refuse a return.

This wireless scanner works perfect on the go, at home and at the office. I will take this scanner with me when I meet clients and when I am working from home. I love the size and efficiency. It makes my life so much easier.

After first install, scanner would keep going off-line and it was easier to scan to my phone then my computer. Then, I had the drive replaced and now I can't reload my software or link. It keep saying that its already on another computer. Disappointed.

I have previously used an Epson scanner before I purchased the ES300WR. I expect to work seamlessly without issue as my other device did. Just received the new device today (7/23/21) and looking forward to scanning.

I did an update and it stopped working, I have installed the drivers, usb cord, power cord and none of the troubleshooting options work. This is crippling to my home office. I purchased this April 2020 and now April of 2021 it just won't scan or be recognized, the error is a "Communication Error"

I have been using a copier / scanner for some time. This device really speeds up the work. Being battery powered or connected to power means I can place it right where I need it. Working from home sometimes means working where space is available. Simply works good.

Followed the directions 11 times before it would even connect. The paper feed button is completely useless, as it does absolutely nothing - the paper doesn't move, nothing beeps or blinks, not so much as an error message. Just nothing. I checked the box to allow other devices on the network to connect, but guess what you can't do. If you said "Connect other devices" you are absolutely correct. So if you're thinking of traveling light and taking a tablet or scanning to your phone, tough luck. Lug everything.

I purchased this scanner to use in place of my large photo scanner. I look forward to getting the accounting software set up and using it. I love the fact that it scans both sides at once and does it fast I hooked up via USB and I look forward to using the scanners wireless feature

Cannot get to work with wifi at all. It works occasionally with a USB connection to a computer. Other times, it doesn't work at all. it tells me it's not connected when it is connected with a USB wire. When it works it's a good scanner, but I've had more trouble getting it to work than I have used it.

Got it out of the box. Connected it to power and USB. Downloaded the software. Can't open the lid! The latch on the right front seems flimsy ..... Finally got it open with the right combination off latch pressing, wiggling, etc. Arrgh! Now I can try it and see if it works.

I had the scanner just under 3 years and just been using it only once a month or even less to scan my monthly statements. Just out of the blue, 2 months ago, the output has a 1 inch black line on the right side. Called the helpdesk and did all the troubleshooting. After half an hour, the helpdesk concluded that it's a hardware problem and referred me to a link with the list of scanners that are currently on sale. Very disappointed with the product, I like Epson products and I have lots of them, printers (including the legacy dot printers), scanners and projectors. I do understand that these stuffs are not built to last, but with the amount of usage I had for this scanner, it was not worth my money. Regards, Robert

I just finished installing the Scanner on both of my laptops. It took me one hour to install into my HP laptop and it only took just under 10 minutes to install it in my MacBook Air. It's very compact and easy to use once the setup process is completed.

I just received the product and set it up. I work in IT but it was easy to setup and get running. The software works great. Just what I needed for scanning receipts and documents. Love the OCR and export features. Scans quickly. I am looking forward to utilizing the scanner.

I have been using this series of scanner for about 3 years now. I started with the ES-300W. Back in 2017 when I become more conscious of the fact I have way to many documents in file cabinets and storage. I carried this around in a backpack wirelessly scanning documents as I traveled most of the north east doing work. Then I Joined the US military and I realized it was very handy keeping track of work documents and legal documents as I traveled now even more. One day I ran into issue with it and after calling Epson I learned it was out of warranty but Epson heard what I had to say and offered me a good discount price and without waiting I went back online and saw they released this next model the ES-300WR. Just receiving it last week and I'm back on track with my documents. Friends have often seen me pull this portable scanner out and often inquire to my help saving there documents online. I recommend this product to anyone keeping track of there documents but doesn't have the space to keep them.

Scans receipts and single or double sided A4 paper surprisingly fast. Try to keep up with it. Has a nifty popup paper guide. The Scansmart database software makes quick work of scanning in receipts, sorting, then exporting either a range or the whole database to spreadsheets. This was a major reason we purchased this model with the accounting package. Well worth the extra $$. No more keyboarding piles of receipts for budgets or tax time. We also use it for scanning in critical documents like birth certificates, car titles etc. A secure thumb drive will let you carry docs in the event of flood or other natural disaster. Only complaint is that sometimes the wifi seems to disconnect and reconnect every few minutes, so a scan may have to be redone. (The unit is only 5 feet from the router. Go figure.) Fortunately there is a USB 3.0 port.

I tried numerous times to link it to my Wifi wirelessly but failed every time, so I will use it with a USB connection. Not user friendly in terms of set up.

I got this about a month ago and I am so glad I did. It worked well in my office and glad I received this. It is a great tool for scanning important documents like receipts. It does not take up a lot of office space. It makes a great product for our office. I love the way it scans business cards and documents as well. It also includes a great software called Epson Scan smart Accounting Edition Software. It is wireless and has a super speed USB connectivity. You won’t regret using this remarkable Epson Receipt and Document Scanner. This is a great eco friendly brand product healthy for our environment. This scanner keeps my office clutter free and scans both pages front and back at one time. That is amazing. We just purchased this last week and it has already come in very handy, both at client sites as well as in the office. Clients are impressed with the addition to our "mobile office" capabilities and employees are thankful for its ease of use and accuracy!
