Danielle L : How do you cut roll paper to size?CHRISTINE W : You would have to cut off the piece you need from the roll to make it fit the printer. However, you can buy these in sheets as well.TOM U : This is a bit if a challenge. I have a 30x24 cutting mat that I tape to my table. I use a 4' metal ruler to hold the paper flat. and a 24 in steel ruler to cut. i use a mat knife or what the hardware store calls a utility knife. Stanley makes them, but a bunch of blades, dont get the fancy one that boasts auto blade changing, it is a hoax. I use the ruler and the grid on the mat to measure (Twice remember!) my sizes for my printers. Take the cuts nice and slow and easy pressure. Six gentle cuts are better than three hard cuts. Use sharp blades only. Often when feeding my Epson P600 the curl in the roll paper hangs up in the printer so I use another flat thin cardboard sheet to act as a "transporter' Sheet to get it by the rollers n shit in the printer that make the curved paper hang up and get caught up in the transport gear mechanism. My two cents ~Tom Upton, photographerOLIVIA L : My printer auto cuts the paper after the print is made. Most large format printers have this setting. I then cut away the excess paper using a rolling trimmer.

Great Paper

I've been an Epson Somerset Velvet user for many years and have used various suppliers. I recently decided to see if Adorama supplied this paper and was surprised to find they did and for a good price including freight. I ordered it in the morning expecting to see it arrive in about a week via USPS. The next afternoon it was delivered! In looking over the ship label it was shipped from the East Coast to me in Maui, Hawaii and arrived in just over 24 hours. To say that I was floored is an understatement, but it happened. Adorama was on top of getting the order out and their timing, for whatever reason, with USPS couldn't have been more spot on. Amazing!

I highly recommend this paper, especially for reproducing watercolor originals

I have used this fine paper for over ten years creating fine art giclee reproductions. The paper has a wonderful soft texture and takes Epson ultrachrome ink beautifully. I print my own artwork as well as for other artist clients. My customers are always very satisfied. I highly recommend this paper, especially for reproducing watercolor originals.

The only paper I use

I have experimented with several papers, but always come back to Epson Somerset Velvet. For me it handles low contrast, almost pastel type images as well as vibrant, almost oversaturated colors. I print exclusively on an Epson 7800 Pro with Matte Black ink.

Good product

Used for making digital prints of watercolors. Nice look, similar to original piece of art. Finding the right softness of pencil to hand sign prints important. Overall a lovely paper.

Perfect for Me

I use Somerset Velvet for virtually all prints on my Epson 7800 - matte black ink of course. I could not be happier. Every now an then I experiment with other papers, but always come back to Somerset Velvet. It does well on low contrast images as well has high contrast images with intense color. I alway know what I am going to get when printing on Somerset Velvet.
