I use it in an Epson R300.THEODORE D : I have used the Epson 98 multipack inks for my Artisan 835 printer and am quite satisfied. This question is about stylus printers and I do not know about this printer line.BILL F : I used this ink for a Stylus Photo R300.

Rarely is black included with Multi-packs. That's how the companies get you & extra dollars. Search the web, I have purchased multi inks that had black included. WILLIAM P : SOME MULTI-PACKS DO NOT COME WITH BLACK, YOU HAVE TO ORDER SEPERATE, GOOD CATCHYVONNE M : It's only sold separately. Why? Probably because people use black faster that they do colors. It turns out that they use light colors faster than dark ones, too. So? It really makes no sense. I don't even see a financial advantage, at least not enough of one to matter.DANIEL S : Alas, there isn't any. The multipack has the five COLOR inks--cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, and yellow. In addition to the color multipack, you ALSO need to order single black cartridges, which are T048120. This actually makes sense, because you might run through black cartridges more or less quickly than the others depending on what sort of printing you are doing. I use my printer mostly to print black-and-white, with color for "special occasions," and I run through several black cartridges for every set of color cartridges I use. Consumption of the color cartridges has actually been pretty even and the multipacks work well for the color.BILL F : A very logical question! Unfortunately, Epson chose to omit the black cartridge from the multi-pack, so users must purchase it separately. At least it usually costs more than any of the color cartridges.JANICE S : It does not contain a black.MIKE F : Not included, buy separately.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?FREDERICK W K : Good price to begin with and the multi pack saves money over buying the individual cardridges. I seem to get better results when printing photographs when using Epson ink in an Epson printer.

Complete Set of Original Epson Cartridge

This is same as each ink cartridge but comes in full set which makes much cheaper than purchasing cartridge individually.

Cognac is cheaper

Epson printers demand epson inks. Printers are fairly cheap..so the companies make $$$ on ink...which is frightfully expensive..however, if we are to believe the amazing micro technology of print heads, not sure there are alternatives to using OEM ink.

Best Ink Value for my Printer

I print my own photographs on an R300. My primary interests are sunsets and flowers, especially roses, and the color reproduction is outstanding. The multi-packs provide very good value, but I wish Epson would include the black cartridge.

Use Epson Ink with Epson Printers

I've found using the Epson Inks with my Epson Photo Stylus R340 printer produces the best results. I have coupled this ink with Epson's Ultra Premium Glossy Photo Paper and have gotten better results than I had expected. Buying the Multipack also saves money over the costs of buying individual colors.

Best Buy for the Buck

I don't print many of my our photos, but I prefer to use the Epson Inks on my Stylus Photo R340. Since my local stores don't seem interested in the 5 Pack, buying this from Adorama saves about $27.50 over buying the individual colors [...]. They may not all run out at the same time, but there isn't much time until they all do.

It's the real thing

I've tried many ink refilling stores and refilled retail brands. They work fine if you will only be doing texts. But when it comes to photographs and graphics; they often failed me by color inconsistencies, pale color, blotching, etc. Save money, time and your sanity. Nothing beats the real thing.

Stick to the real thing

I've used generic inks and Epson inks and will never go back to the generics for photos. The colors aren't as true and photos fade very fast with the generic inks. I don't care what I use to print the majority of my documents but I'll only use Epson ink for photos.
