Of course, it's the only game in town. The ink looks and works great. Be aware that there is an oily carrier that goes on the print which evaporates over time. I haven't seen a problem with non-RC papers. Apparently the stuff soaks into the paper where it does no harm. But with RC papers it can't absorb, and so it winds up on the back of the glass of framed prints. I have managed to mitigate the problem somewhat by covering RC papers with newsprint which seems to absorb much of the oil. It's an incomplete fix, but it seems to help.

Epson Ultrachrom HDR ink is fantastic. Very vibrant colors, very long lifetime, and it's a prefect match for the Epson printers. Accept no substitute! It does have one problem... If you print on RC materials the ink outgasses some kind of oily film onto the back of glass over time. It's nasty and you can see it on framed prints. I sandwich RC prints between sheets of newsprint for at least 24 hours - longer if possible, and that helps.

Experience the pinnacle of professional printing with the Epson UltraChrome HDR 150 ml Green High Density Resin Pigment Based Ink Cartridge, specifically designed for the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 series inkjet printers. These state-of-the-art printers, available in 24-inch and 44-inch models, are Epson's innovative ten-color printing powerhouses, featuring the groundbreaking UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink technology.
The UltraChrome HDR ink set is a game-changer in the realm of color reproduction, incorporating both orange and green inks to significantly broaden the color gamut. This expansion is a boon for professionals in packaging and remote proofing market segments, who demand the highest level of color accuracy and print quality.
Epson's UltraChrome HDR ink is not just about vibrant colors; it's a sophisticated high-density resin-coated pigment formulation that includes a three-level black ink system - photo black, light black, and light light black - alongside cyan, light cyan, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, yellow, orange, and green. The inclusion of matte black, which can be automatically switched with photo black, ensures deep, rich blacks and nuanced shadow details.
This advanced generation of UltraChrome HDR ink delivers several key benefits: reduced graininess in delicate skin tones, seamless tonal transitions from the darkest shadows to the brightest highlights, and exceptional short-term color stability. Furthermore, the inks provide outstanding long-term lightfastness, highly precise color control with neutral black and white, and high gloss levels on water-resistant prints.
Economical printing is achieved through the introduction of high-capacity ink cartridges in 350 ml and 700 ml sizes, reducing the cost per milliliter and minimizing the frequency of cartridge replacements. This promotes continuous, unattended printing, enhancing productivity for busy professionals.
The Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 series are equipped with Epson's MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head, boasting 360 nozzles per inch for each of the ten active ink channels. The print head's Ink Repelling Coating and the Automatic Ink Detection (AID) system work in tandem to prevent and preemptively address nozzle clogging, thus reducing downtime and conserving paper typically used during the cleaning process.
Epson's AID technology employs a sensor near the print head to monitor the electrical charges of the ink droplets as they are ejected. If the charge is lower than expected, indicating insufficient ink ejection, the printer automatically initiates the print head cleaning cycle.
Compared to the current 8-color printers in the 24-inch and 44-inch categories, the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 models offer a remarkable increase in print speed. For instance, the Stylus Pro 7900 can produce an A1-sized print (720x720dpi) of sellable quality on Epson's Premium Glossy Photo Paper in an impressive 5 minutes.
In summary, the UltraChrome HDR 150 ml Green High Density Resin Pigment Based Ink Cartridge for the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 & 9900 Inkjet Printers is an essential component for professionals seeking consistent color saturation and a perfect fit for their high-end printing needs.
