Bought the 4734 version of this printer. Worst printer I ever owned. It doesn't feed paper properly. You simply cannot use the paper feeder for scanning multiple page documents it either pulls multiple pages or no pages, it's maddening. When printer it has the same issue pulling multiple pages from the paper tray. The cartridges are overpriced and if a color cartridge is empty you can't print anything, no black and white or gray scale.

I have suffered with this horrible machine for several years. My wife and my dog are tired of hearing me swear at it. It's time to buy a real printer. I had to buy it in a hurry to finish a project several years ago and I have hated it ever since. Today was the final straw: I was trying to print postage on a #10 envelope and after changing the paper settings three times, it kept failing saying: Trying to print on #10 envelope" and the same time the other window said "tray contains #10 envelope." Are you kidding me???????

Printer is an absolute piece of garbage. Attempting to print more than 5-6 pages double sided is a lost cause. The printer routinely pulls multiple sheets of paper at once, prints across several pages, jams, and simply cancels the print job. Absolutely would not recommend this product for a home office.

This is the second printer I have had of this model. Both of them have been very solid, but this one has given me a scanner error that I haven't been able to clear yet. It may be something simple, but I haven't been able to clear it, hence unable to copy anything.

I just received the computer an I had installation issues with syncing it to my computer. The tech (JB) I spoke with when I called was very patient and walked me through the entire process. This is not my first Epson product and surely won't be the last. Thank you, Epson!

This is a refurbished printer/scanner that we just received yesterday. It seems to perform well. The printing is clear. It was easy to register. I will have to see how it works long-term, but so far so good.

I nought this Epson WF-4740 about two years ago. It worked fine for awhile, but I seldom used it since I have a B&W laser printer for most printing. A few weeks ago it began displaying a 1000016 scanner error which prevented me from using it for any task. Internet research shows that this error is very common with the WF-4740, and that there is no fix except sending the printer to Epson service. The cost of this service was estimated to be about the same price as a new printer. So... my next move will be trashing the Epson WF-4740 and buying a non-Epson replacement. This was my 1st Epson, and will be my last.

I bought this cause I was having trouble with my hp. This receives and send my faxes with no problems. The only trouble I have is finding the icon? It does not tell me to use Document capture pro. It should ought to put it right on the setup.

I brought this printer years ago fell in love with it. I hate that it keeps going offline. seems to print very good, but ink doesn't last as long as I would like. I don't like that it gets jammed a lot in the back tray. I guess I have to use thicker paper. over all I have had good experiences with this printer

I got this printer from a friend I am quite mad that right now the Magentate cartridge is empty so I can't print something in BLACK INK ONLY!!!! I can't find a bypass and I just put in a fresh black ink cartridge but I can't print BECAUSE THE MAGENTA IS OUT!!! I don't need that color, not using ANY COLOR BUT BLACK. Now I am being forced to buy a whole new set of cartridges just to get THE COLOR I AM NOT USING. Will be buying off-brand cartridges just so Epson can't get my money on this HUGE SOFTWARE FLAW!!!

I bought this printer on or about December 28, 2021 AND MUST download Epson Drivers FOR EACH SHEET OF PAPER, In the HOPE it might work. I have only been able to Print a few times since it ALWAYS SHUTS DOWN OR SHUTOFF WITHOUT WARNING. I've had this printer for 4 years and it has cost me a ton of money to keep it happy with ink... It must use color ink when I tell it to print black and white only... The color cartridges only last about 6 months and I've printed less than 500 pages in the last 3 years...

We actually received this unit from Epson as a replacement for the WF-3640 series which was not working correctly. This all in one unit works great until the system runs an update. When it runs the "Document Capture Pro" update, then that part of the scan does not work and you have to call into Epson, remove old software and reinstall new software. This has happened twice in 2 months. Other wise unit is great!!

I?ve had this printer for a while now and the ink goes away very fast with less print count compared to other printers. I try to print b&w but somehow it will still eat up the other color inks and won?t let you print anything if one is empty. The ink is overpriced. What a gimmick!

I purchased this printer through Dell, and I received it within one week of ordering my printer. The printer set up was a very easy process, as opposed to some other printer set-ups by some of Epson's competitors. Registration was very easy and took less than three minutes. In total, it took ten minutes to get it out of its extremely well-package and safe box, and remove all safety shipping pieces and then set it up on the computer plus register. This is a wonderful product. The only thing I wish is that it was compatible with newer computer models, as there is a new Windows beyond Windows 10 which means it will not be compatible with a new computer. Other than that, it is a great product.
