We bought this scanner a couple of years ago and have had many, many issues with it connecting (and staying connected) to my Mac. Trying to fix it everytime is extremely confusing and complicated. I’ve had to completely stop connecting it to wi-fi and have had to go to using the cable (I just connected it to the cable)….hopefully it will stop the numerous issues and start working reliably. Wish me luck!

Purchased the unit online and everything went without a hitch. Received the unit quickly and it installed easily. Then the included software did better than I ever expected. Epson will be on top of the list for considering future office products

I got this to scan papers and didn't want a printer, because I don't use the print function enough and it always dries up on me! This scanner was easy to use and worked very well!

I received this as a Christmas gift. Although I had some difficulty connecting it to my WIFI, once I figured it out, the scanner worked quite well. This is an excellent portable scanner for letter size documents. I have no problem recommending it.

I purchased this product over two years ago and it has not supplied the ease and necessary useage I anticipated. This product was supposed to allow me to scan insurance cards for people remotely. I have NEVER been successful in completing this task. Every time I have a switch in internet passwords or internet period it requires me to uninstall the software and drivers and reinstall them. Recently it will NOT work at all and the tech was not helpful and blamed me and my abilities as well as my internet.

Every time I got to use the scanner the software can't find it. I reinstall the drivers and software and they work again for a while, only to break soon after again.

It is practical if you don’t have a big scanner available, but it is slower in scanning than I expected.

This scanner is narrow, lightweight and easy to use. It takes a few minutes to install. The DS-40 only scans one side at a time but the speed is quick and the results are good. Be sure to go in and change the resolution to your liking.

I bought this mostly for quickly scanning receipts. The user interface the comes with the product is harder to use relative to others on the market. It needs a lot of refining. Also, for no apparent reason the device stopped communicating with the computer over USB. I have never been able to get it to connect wirelessly. This was true for different computers. After 2 calls for technical advice it finally started working again for USB only. I hope this doesn’t become a reoccurring event. It scans well when it works.

I bought one of these scanners to scan receipts for my ebay reselling purchases. When my ebay slowed down. I ended up using this scanner for work and anything and everything in between. I love how it scans and I can send almost instantly by email. It's awesome and I will always recommend this to anyone needing a portable scanner.

I've ordered, received my Epson scanner and the quality is great. The only challenge i've had is not being able to connect it to my WiFi network with WPS feature; i spent an hour trying and gave up. This could possibly be an iisue my end with my router. I've installed the software and curently using it in direct USB mode and I'm yet to try it in AP mode possibly some time in the future. It scans fast enough for me. Great quality portable scanner.

I have used this machine for over a year on another computer with great success and very little problems. It's very portable and you can use it anywhere. I have even saved old family photos from the 60's and 70's using this device. Wonderful invention.

I'm now forced to reinstall the product since: 1) I never could get it to connect over WiFi with Windows 10, and 2) with the USB connection, each time I step away from it for (e.g.) 10 minutes and come back, and I relaunch the app., I then cannot reconnect; complains that the device is "not connected"

I am not computer savvy, however, this was easy to install. Unfortunately, they have you do a review before you use the scanner, but I'm hopeful that it works.

Very recently purchased this scanner primarily to scan receipts for my business. Does a great job. The scanner software makes it easy to designate specific jobs to assign receipts to.

Moving up from a DS-30. Disappointing that this DS-40 doesn't just have some rechargeable batteries in it. Why cheap out on 4 AA's that are not charged when plugged in to USB or the additional cost 5V power supply?
