I bought this to replace FX500 which lasted for many years. I have used this printer for various projects and it prints and scans very well. I am glad I bought it.

I bought this printer to replace my Epson Artisan 810. I had heard the newer printers were Epson Connect enabled and even had a voice assistant capability. I chose this particular model because of thought it had not only had excellent photo printing (6 ink cartridges), but that it also had features like automatic document feeder, double sided printing etc. I also liked the fact it was much more compact than my Artisan, which took up most of my cabinet space. Easy to set up. I am impressed with the quality of both the photos and print. Speed? - Fast! Very fast! There's more - automation of both the screen and the output tray upon startup, printing, and shut-off. And the screen is nice and wide. Easy to navigate. There are so many options! I also tried the scanner - excellent resolution. Overall rating:10 Highly recommend! t

I?ve had my XP-860 for abut a year now and find the print quality ok, although no better than the Artisan 837 printer it replaced. I actually still have the Artisan and am considering bringing it back on line. Although Epson no longer supports it, it works, and most importantly, I CAN STILL BUY INK FOR IT LOCALLY!! For the XP-860 I have to search the internet for available colors since I prefer the 277XL rather than the 277 regular. A combo pack is only available in the 277 and even that is NEVER found in stores. Most inconvenient. Why Epson does not make sure the ink is available for easy purchase in local stores is a mystery to me. It?s enough of a disadvantage ( for an ok printer overall) that I?ve given this a one star rating - a first for me - and enough to not recommend the product.

The photo quality of the pictures are INCREDIBLE! It does use some ink but if you want excellent photos this is a great printer. And, everything else on it is good too. It's worth the money.

I bought this printer at the recommendation of a trusted retailer and it has been nothing but trouble. I have gotten maybe one print I like out of it.

This 860 was purchased to replace an 850 I've used for years. The 850's print head got so clogged, repeated cleanings and cleaning with a specific cleaning kit would not remove the gunk. Prior to that experience, the 850 functioned as it should. The units appear to be very similar, so expect the 860 to give years of excellent service. Be sure to use genuine Epson ink, however, the generic inks will work for only so long and then you'll experience the same thing I did; a new printer. All features of the 860 perform as advertised; double side, photo, scan, reduction, etc. A great printer at a reasonable cost.

So far I am happy with all the features that the printer has. It also takes up less room than the Artisan 810 that I replaced. Some reviews that I read stated that the ink didn't last long. So far I have not noticed that it uses more ink than the 810. Very satisfied with its performance.

Great copies and prints but ink is not readily available. When I ran out of black ink, and that was quickly as can be expected with an Epson printer, there was none to be found. Knowing how fast Epson runs through ink I had an order in but even my usual ink source was several weeks back ordered. It was not even available from Epson. Colors - they're available in a combo box in the regular size but 277XL is only available individually. This machine is one that replaces the terrific Artisan line - too bad. Three great printers, each in turn, and now this......phth! Bad business.

I had no choice in purchasing this XP-860 since Epson stopped supporting my Artisan 835.

Just set the printer up but the set up was a snap. This is my second Epson and if this one is as good as the last one, it will be fantastic

I've had my XP-860 for almost a month now and am very happy with it. It does virtually everything that my Artisan 837 did, and more. The "more" is much better duplexing - it duplexes copying, faxing and scanning which can be a great time saver. I like the auto-opening paper output drawer and have found paper loading to be easy. I do have a few negative comments: 1)Envelope printing does not work from Microsoft Word on a Mac. No matter how the printer is setup, the address prints too low on the envelope. This is likely a Microsoft problem, however, since other programs (like Apple Pages do print envelopes fine. 2) I find the manual paper feed process to be awkward, although it works ok.

I bought this to replace Epson RX580 Photo Stylus . The quality or performance are not even 1/2 as good as the one I am replacing. The paper tray is a pain to use. Most of the time is sticks and have to gently work to get it out. Sometimes it kicks out blank sheets as well as my printed ones. The print is just so so, not that great. All I can say about it is that it does print.

Have had other Epson printers and have been very satisfied. I just purchased this printer to replace my Epson CX4800 that finally quit after 10 yrs. Was very happy with that one. Will see if this one meets the challenge.

I have had this printer less than a year. I cannot ever print a document without having to change at least one cartridge. I use nothing but Epson printer cartridges and still get an error message that I am not using actual Epson cartridges. In one week I had to replace the same color three times. I even replaced all of the cartridges at one time. Four pages later, I had to replace two cartridges. I can't override the error message...so I either replace the cartridge or I cannot print.

I have owned this printer for 1 year. It has performed better than a commercial printer at work that cost 100 times more. Color printing is great as well as photos.

Having great difficulty installing this new printer. Don't understand, because it's the same printer model I've been using for 2 years.

there are a few things you should know. The size is nice...smaller than the model it was replacing. I bought this printer for a Christmas project I was working on. I used Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper (which is very expensive). The prints were beautiful. Here's the "but" part..........make sure you go into the printer settings and uncheck the high speed box; also check the high quality box. One last thing....make sure you can get ink for this model. My go to stores (Office Max/Sams Club) does not have it. Another one of my sources does not have the XL cartridges, only the standard size. Ugh.......

This printer replaces an XP-810 that served me well for many years before it finally wore out, as printers do. This one was, if anything, even easier to connect and configure.

Bought this printer to replace my Epson Artisan 730 that finally quit for printing pictures and CD/DVD's due to availability of Epson ink. The 860"s only disadvantage is that it is not as easy to print CD/DVD's as the 730. Pictures are outstanding.

It does a good job over all printing for my basic needs plus I like the dedicated DVD/CD tray. The speed is not the greatest but my main gripe is the wireless. Quite often my laptop computers can't connect. I must reboot the printer to get the wireless to work.
