I've been using tripods for years, but this is my first monopod. I've been shooting more sports pictures lately, and want to get out more for local wildlife. Mostly I'm cheating with a Nikon 70-200 with a 2x teleconverter. This helps me steady the camera a lot when trying to hold focus for extended periods of time waiting for something to happen.

Perfect, trying to carry less equipment and this makes a big difference, I was sitting in a lawn chair getting ready for fireworks, with the way it moves just bent it back and down and it was perfect for what I was shooting why did I not get this earlier, can not say enough good things about it, worth the price

Exceptionally stable. I was unsure whether I wanted the tripod style foot but borrowing one from a friend eased all that concern and using my own for a few weeks has me sold. It is a bit heavier than I am used to for a Carbon Fiber monopod but I expected that going in as it has metal levers and is longer than what I was using before. As a wildlife photographer I find that extra length exceptionally helpful when doing things like photographing wild goats and sheep on high slopes or photographing raptors perched overhead. I am particularly impressed with the quick release head and the quick release for the tripod foot. They can quickly be paired together for shooting at ground level. I bought an extra head so that I can mount my preferred photo head on one and video head on the other and swap out in the field without having to unscrew one and screw the other back in. I find it steady enough for short video recordings, I have found no negative with this item yet.

Love this monopod. Comfortable weight to carry, and with an added ball head mount on top, can easily rotate camera where I want to focus and shoot. With the tripod base, it just adds to the stability. Easy to fold the legs up or down, By resting my foot on a tripod foot, it is very stable. Look forward to taking this to the Galapagos soon!

This monopod is built like an Army tank! Solid construction, high quality machined parts, sturdy, flexible, and rugged. In situations where you need to reposition quickly, this is a much better solution than a tripod although obviously not as stable. I've been doing a lot of nature photography and I am able to react to their sudden moves and antics almost instantly. The iFootage Cobra 2 C180-II 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod with Low-Profile Tripod was on backorder at Adorama when I placed my order and I am so happy that I did not succumb to the temptation to substitute another monopod. I'm looking forward to many years of dependable service from this sturdy piece of professional-grade gear.

Great build and useful. I only used mine for a short while and it was lost or something off set . A Tripod with a light camera in a pinch also a makeshift SteadyCam in a pinch . This is a super useful product in many ways. I used mine with my old heavy Nikkor 400mm f/3.5 ais , macro uses , a boom pole and more .

Absolutely wonderful monopod. It looks, feels, and operates like many people spent a ton of time designing it to perfection. Particularly the legs. As everyone says, they feel rock solid, like they can handle far more than recommended. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect monopod.

Everybody raves about the monopod, and yes it is amazing. Taking pictures at the kids soccer game with a big lens is tiring. Having the monopod makes it easier to stand and take amazing action shots. The monopod is easy to setup, and easy to adjust the height, standing in the stands with monopod one bench below, no problem, just extend and take pictures. The one thing that is nowhere mentioned, is the carbon fiber part. Taking pictures in the cold is fun, but holding a freezing monopod is not. The carbon fiber, however, does NOT get cold. Standing outside with no gloves holding on to the monopod, and not have freezing cold hands at the end made this even better. This was an informed impulse buy, but totally worth it.

Very hi-grade construction. Looks like it will take any punishment you might dish out. Very nicely finished. I will probably buy the Kamado fluid head that goes with this versatile monopod. Only drawbacks are with the solid construction comes a bit of extra weight, but I'd rather it be a few ounces heavier than break when I need it most. Also a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This monopod is great. I debated getting the strike for rapid height changes but glad I went with the C180. At max height I was able to capture video over subjects walking directly in front of me. With my GH5 I was able to run it full height hands free, just staying close in case someone bumped into it.

I bought several monopods and finally I now have one that does what I want. I had bought a cheap mini pod to put in my back pocket on my walks. I also carried a regular aluminum pod. The one allows me to carry one pod with a mini tripod.

So far so good!! I have just a cheap ball head and this monopod and my cheap ball head hold up my canon 5d3 and 24-105 without me holding the monopod! If you had a nice fluid head on this it would be amazing for run and gun!

This is a great addition to my traveling gear. Quick and easy to adjust. The travel bag allows me to leave by ball head attached to the monpod. Being able to remove to stablizing legs is nice because it does reduces the weight but so far I have not found it to be too heavy. This does not replace my tripod but it will be making more trips than my tripod. Well built, should have a good long service life.

As I waited for UPS delivery on Monday, the anticipation grew. I was like a kid on Christmas morning opening the box and as soon as I took it out of its case... YEEEES!! this thing is everything the video said it was. It is sturdy, incredibly stable, the craftsmanship isimpeccable. It holds my 7D MrkII with its vertical grip and 70-200mm 2.8 usm II perfectly. The design of the foot and the balance of the lens, it will stand all by itself. The quick release ia awesome, both on top and bottom.The section buckles are solid solid solid as well as the Carbon Fiber tubes. If I had a complaint, I wish it could colapse more... That's it! Worth Double!
