This camera does one thing and thing only. Bang out perfect portraits. It's slow, big and doesn't have great video features but that's not what you're getting this camera for. You're getting this camera to take excellent portraits that beat every single fiull frame camera on the market

This camera does one thing and one thing only, take amazing portraits. You're not going to get great AF or features like 8K raw, why would you even shoot video on medium format anyway? This is the king of portraiture and for the ridiculously low price, this beats any and I mean ANY full frame camera

Very pleased with the purchase of this camera. I rented it earlier this year and was not sure if I wanted to move up to a larger sensor? should have done it sooner. I like the result when I enlarge my images along with the depth of each now. I has taken some getting use to, but I am managing. I would recommend to my family and friends.

Quality construction, logical user menu and design. Image stabilization excellent: offers extra two stops functionality to lenses. Comparatively light. Very happy with this purchase!

I've only had this body and lens a few weeks, so experience is limited. I read every credible review I could find and decided that few if any of the shortcomings described affected my landscape focus. I tend to shoot panoramas for print, so the 100 MP version was an overkill at this point. First impression is that image quality is astounding even with the 35-70 kit lens. Once understood, the menus are logical and quite easy to navigate. I like the breath and fine-grain control of menu variables. An absolute pleasure to use. As yet I haven found anything to complain about; it's a nice start to a new system.

The image detail, the dynamic range, the IBIS and the ergonomics make this the best camera I have ever used and one of the easiest to use. I love my old Hasselblad but this is a total game-changer for medium format shooting.

Previously owned GFX50R, 50S II is great improvement, better handling, better batteries, better cable management and above all, IBIS. With the 50R I used focus peaking, not always successful, the S II I love the focus scale, I wish the focus magnification was easier to read. I am happy with the resolution. For my purposes, I don?t see the need of 100MP. In terms of lenses, I would love to have a Zoom 64-128mm. Could shooting "without a lens" be renamed to ?manual lens?? Thank you!

This is a delightful tool to capture images. We made, easy to use with razor sharp images. The combination of GFX 50 S II + 45-100 f4 lens provides the range needed for my needs. Simple kit, excellent balance and takes care of my needs. As a film user with HASSELBLAD of 35 years, I felt that Fujifilm excellent lenses and GFX format would allow me to produce good images. I have not been disappointed, but truly impressed. Availability of Fujifilm products and high quality optics is my reason for using their equipment for landscape photography.

I absolutely love this camera! This camera has blown my mind away with its quality and color reproduction! Having the large resolution gives me the ability to crop my photos in ways I was never able to! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into medium format cameras. This definitely beats the competition with its smaller form factor compared to the rest of the medium format cameras out there.

This is an impressive camera and brings a ton of value for those looking to bring a noticeable upgrade to their professional work. If you create images on a regular basis and you have a lot of control over your shooting environment, you'll appreciate what this camera brings to the table. Video? Sports? Action? Night? Well, if that's where you do most of your work I'd recommend looking at another camera.

The quality of the images I've been able to capture is outstanding. I've been surprised at how successful I've been when shooting handheld, the camera's IBIS is just that good. After switching to APS-C and Fuji cameras 9 years ago I was ready to get another larger sensor camera. I could have chosen any of the great FF offerings, but I shoot mostly landscape and tabletop and the larger sensor of the GFX 50sII made more sense to me. Not yet 5 stars but getting there, the last star is on me. The camera has a steeper learning curve than I anticipated, especially after shooting the Fuji brand for nearly a decade. The custom settings (C1 to C6) behave in a different way versus the X-Series and the command dials and buttons are also taking more time to get used to. The layout and function aren't bad just different, it's all 'muscle memory' stuff that takes a little time to learn.

This is one of the best cameras I have used. It?s size and weight make it easy to transition from studio to outdoor photography.

Four stars because now I want more (expensive) GF glass! I moved up from an APS-C model to the GFX 50s II and what a difference in size! It's been 6 years since I last used a DSLR and the 50s II is very similar in size and weight to the Canons I used to have... but miles ahead in image quality. Let's say that as of now my X-Pro3 is now my 'pocket camera'. By the way, I've shot zero video in 10 years other than with a smartphone. Nada. So I am certainly not the person to offer an opinion on that feature. Speed of operation is the elephant in the room. Yes, the 50s II is a slower camera by far than most any FF DSLR or mirrorless. I haven't seen an APS-C this slow since the early 2000s. In fact, the 50s II sepcs out pretty close to the Canon 5DII for speed. Focus isn't instant, even exposures seem to take a beat or two longer. But I could care less. I've had very fast cameras and for my way of shooting they were never let off the leash to run. I shoot landscapes, panoramic and intimate. Tabletop photography is another favorite. Even when I shoot cityscapes it's a deliberate process. I found I could pay for speed or I could apply the money to better quality images. Even if you think that you know Fuji, you still have a learning curve. I used my Pro3 and copied all the setting into the GFX, and then found out that there are operational differences. Two examples of many: - The GFX custom settings also lock in the image capture size, which defaults to Fine JPG. Oops. You will need to get familiar with the camera. - Next, the control wheels and the joystick have more flexibility when assigning functions than you are probably used to. You can three-press the front wheel? It will take some muscle memory training time. The 35-70 lens is very, very nice. It would be a disservice to refer to it as a 'kit lens', just as it is with the X-series 18-55. No mistake, there are better GF lenses but the 35-70 isn't just good enough, it's a stellar performer in its own right. That said, after a few days I think I might go for the 50mm as a walkaround lens and keep the 35-70 plus a future 100-200 for those deliberate moments I mentioned above. Would I have chosen the 32-64 if it were less expensive as a kit option? Probably, but it's a bigger and less carry friendly lens for sure. This is not the "medium format digital camera for the masses" as one recent video suggested in its title. The GFX 50s II is the right choice for someone who wants great quality images, is not speed dependant, and maybe has a smaller and lighter walkaround camera option already on their shelf. Even though I sold my X-T body and a few lenses to offset this purchase, I kept the Pro3 and primes. I consider the 50s II an expansion of capabilities rather than a replacement. For the money, my process, and my current gear on hand, the GFX 50sII was a better option than any of the FF or pricier medium format offerings.
