It comes earlier than I thought. The quality is excellent. I brought this lens for my Fujifilm xm5, but sadly, my camera body is still backordered.

This is a great Lens ... It has no Aperture Ring , I use Nikon Z Cameras , so I am used to using the camera to control the Aperture .
I think the lens is worth more than the price . It is sharp. light weight, Plastic body ...  a Good addition to my Fujifilm X-T2. It now lives on the Camera Body. I would recommend this Lens to anyone on a budget and looking for a 50mm  field of view at an Awesome price.

Great starter lens for my first fujifilm camera. As I use my fujifilm for mostly hobby and travel, it's affordable easy to transport.

Reasonably sharp. It's a $200 lens, so don't expect perfection. If it had a metal lens mount instead of plastic I'd give it 5 stars.

I got a bad copy I am sure. A friend hand-carried it to me here in Mexico and returning it is too complicated, requiring a visit to customs these days, fees, plus having to pay the import tax again on a replacement, so I am just using it as is. 

It's a beautiful lens physically. Handles like a dream. It is sharp and contrasty across much of the field wide-open. My copy, unfortunately is not well centered. The middle and entire left side is in proper focus at all apertures. If focused on the center, the right side in only really OK beyond f/5.6. I would not aim at a large print with the copy I have. This is disappointing. Fuji should not let these leave the factory if not very good at least.

If you are able to return a bad copy, I recommend it.

Great lens

I'm theory, this is a great lens. It's compact, light weight and reasonably fast. However the copy I received clearly had a misaligned internal element resulting in the right portion of images shot at F2 - F2.8 rendering soft. I'm not sure if this issue happened as a result of mishandling during shipping, but it does seem odd a lens would leave Fujifilm's factory with such obvious optical problems. Nevertheless. I returned this copy and will likely purchase it from another retailer. Also, I highly suspect the lens I received from Moment had previously been returned by another customer for the exact same reasons (the box showed signs of having been opened before and the included paperwork had fingerprints). I included a note with my return indicating the lens' issues and I sure hope Moment sends it back to Fujifilm for calibration, rather than sending it out to another unsuspecting customer!

Poor Fujifilm QC

I used this lens a Fujifilm x-s10. The lens is pretty compact and light. very suitable for a mirrorless camera. The body is kind of plastic but the image quality is sharp. A bit of auto focus noise but generally it works well when shifting the lens to different objects. Only tried it in the image capture mode mostly for portrait so far.

I?ve shot on Nikon for a lot of years, most of those with the 35mm f1.8. This lends feels about the same and is pretty much the same price. Big fan.

Good Price

I moved from an old Canon DSLR to a Fujifilm x-t20 and was looking for an affordable replacement for my 50mm f1.8. I actually prefer this lens to the 50mm 1.8 because I find the 35mm focal length easier to use. On top of that, it's smaller, focuses more quietly, and is extremely sharp. I really love the lens and see myself keeping it on my camera ~80% of the time because it's so small, convenient, and just plain good.

The only thing not to like is that the lens didn't come with a "real" rear lens cover, only a thin plastic pressure-fit cap. I've ordered a rear lens cap, but it seems quite cheap not to include one, even on a budget lens.

Excellent value for a versatile and fast lens

I liked the superb image quality, other people on the internet said that it felt really plasticky but to be honest I think it feels very solid and well built, only downside is the lack of weather resistance (but I don’t mind since my camera is no weather resistant either), overall great little lens with beautiful rendering and fantastic microcontrast!

A steal!

I use this to take photos of my children, as well as for clients for social media and website content. It has a great range and I'm so pleased with the image quality on my older XT-10.

Perfect for portraits and product photography

Very sharp, nice little lens. Always wanted Fujifilm to come out with a "nifty fifty" and now they have. Only thing I don't like is the plastic rear cap is cheap, and doesn't feel like it will last.

This lens gives great results, very fast and high quality for the price.  I do miss having an aperture ring (which is available on the XF version) but think overall it's probably not worth the extra $$.  Worth purchasing for any X-mount camera.

Great lens at a great price.

The images it produces are not much sharper then a standard kit lens, the minimum focus distance is somewhat far and auto focus hunts. It's definitely a compromise. The lens does have a sweet spot where you get great subject isolation and produces decent images but that's the only improvement I could find over the standard kit lens.

This is a really great lens for the money. Highly recommended. Here are some of the most important pros and cons for me.
Pros:
- Focus is silent and quick. One of the best lenses I ever used, let along the price
- Optically almost perfect with some small issue (detailed below)
- Extremely light, perfect with small body camera like the X-T30 I own
Cons:
- Aperture ring is to me a thing I missed the most. I'm not a big fan using control dial for aperture, and because my ISO and aperture control is both assigned to control dial. It does slow down my time to take the photo significantly when I need to change both to take a photo
- When focused at a very close distance wide open is a bit soft even in the middle. See the example for f2.0 and f3.6 comparison. If quality is very important, stop down at close distance

For me, this lens is definitely a keeper. I can see why people would want to use XF 35mm F2 instead of XC 35mm F2 for issues such as aperture ring, but with $200 discount I have no problem to live with the cons.

sharp, beautiful bokeh, light-weight, inexpensive. The plastic mount does not matter for me who always put the lens on.

Excellent value for money

I just got this lens in today, im liking everything about it so far. I've paired it with the Fuji XE1 and it works pretty well. the AF seems snappy enough but the older body is probably holding it back. the lockup on the mount isnt the tightest i've ever felt but I dont feel likes its going to break off. This is an extremely light package and will fit well on the smaller Fuji cameras as a sort of sudo pancake lens.
