I never thought I would enjoy a zoom lens as much as primes with the Fuji system but this lens is so responsive and sharp. I've only had this lens out a couple of times, but so far I like it. It's sharp, even at 2.8, and focuses quickly and quietly. This is a well made lens, solid as a tank, and zooms in and out smoothly. Being an f2.8 allows for semi-low light situations, but it really doesn't do well indoors because it requires cranking the ISO up, which adds noise. I removed the tripod collar to make it more portable and because I don't think that I'll ever use it with a tripod. It's a heavy lens, but I like the solid feel of it. Overall, this is a nice glass and pairing it with the XT3 is a nice set-up.

The best build you can ever expect from a lens. The image quality is great. The focal length is a bit short if you want to do wildlife photography. I will probably get the 2x converter for occasional wildlife shots. The manual focus ring is a bit slow and hard to turn. OIS will enable you to shoot handheld without issue.

If you think this is big and heavy, try holding a Canon EOS 5D with a 70-200 f 2.8. Then you get the point. Fits the hand nicely, locks on and stays in focus with a moving subject. Great IQ

This lens is probably a 5-star for anyone who NEVER manually focuses. Optics and speed are amazing. It's one of the more recent Fuji lenses, so the AF and OIS are tack on and ridiculously good. However... I like to focus on something that the camera never picks, so I manually focus most of the time. For this, this lens loses a star. The amount of required focus ring spin to manually focus is just not do-able with any speed or accuracy, and it is VERY stiff to manually spin the ring. You better love what the computer picks for autofocus, or this lens will exasperate you. I RARELY pull it out, because it's pretty much only good for sports using AF, or for still-life, which is silly for a lens this huge. For my usage, I almost always take out an old manual focus, fixed focal length Nikon lens on an adapter before I reach for this one.

I've been using this lens for two weeks. Did some landscape and bird photography. I use the X-H1 and X-T2 cameras. The images are tack sharp and the Image Stabilization is great. No matter what photo, when you look at it, you can tell this is a quality lens. It is not heavy at all and has a good feel on either camera I use. Bonus was the lens was $400 off when I purchased it.

While it's not as easy to assist and keep the same focus as my Nikon d800, the inconvenience is still worth the lighter load and greater portability. Easy and smooth on adjustments. I chose to treat it in my most challenging setting - behind the chain link and netting for my photos of my college pitcher.

Incredibly sharp. I was surprised on how versitle the lens turned out. Good focal length for both outside and indoors. Using it on my xt3. It is heavy though, but alot smaller than a full frame 70-200.
