Amateur photographers do not need so-called pro level, all metal lenses. This lens is crisp and light, perfect for the small form Fuji cameras, like xt-20 (which I own)….Highly recommended

I admit to not having run thorough tests on this lens, but everything so far points to a good, solid mid-range telephoto that should meet most of the needs of hobby photographers.

This lens is image-stabilized, auto-focuses well, and is (relatively) light & inexpensive. It has a plastic body and a plastic lens mount and is not weather-sealed, so it is not designed to be used harshly nor in harsh conditions. My other Fujinon lenses are “XF,” this is my first “XC” lens, I am impressed by its sharpness. See samples. Although, I am still shocked by how expensive lenses are in general – this one outperforms its price - I am very happy with this purchase (bought used from Adorama). Huge value in the Fujifilm line. Purchased as a travel lens for an X-T20. Light to carry in the backpack, great optics. A little slow, sure, but the lens includes good OIS, and Fujifilm’s quality is outstanding even st high ISO’s. Get this lens!
