bob b : How do I put the new eye cup on my camera?  Do I take off the plastic holder first?Adam R : I used this eye cup with the X-T2; not sure what camera you're using, but your eye cup should slide off after pressing up from the edge that's closest to the rear screen on your camera. Don't try to pry it off... Keep it flat and press up. You'll hear a click when you clear the latching mechanism.DOMINIC S : You should slide the old pieces off. If the rubber has completely detached there could be a small frame with a couple of screws left behind. It will slide up and off.

Works well on X-T5, but be aware...

Works well on X-T5. It's a smaller footprint compared to the large eyecup that comes with the camera, and is a bit tight to get it set onto the eyepiece. Note that it doesn't release from the camera the same way as the other eyecups do, so make sure to look at the directions on how to get it take it off.

A matter of taste

This is the original eyecup provided with the XT1, it fits XT2, XH1 and i believe GFx. The only reason i like it better than the provided with my XH1 is the low profile, it doesn't get caught in my bag. The one negative, the material used for it is really sticky dust gets stuck to and it's harder to clean than the new one on the H1.
