Bought this for a trip to Grand Cayman. Took some great underwater shots while snorkeling, as well as pix of my son playing on the beach. Rugged camera that fits nicely into a pocket or small bag. I'm a semi-pro with a small family/wedding photo business and always travel with my DSLRs, but this little guy came in handy with many neat shooting modes and features for times when I wouldnt want to chance it with my pro equipment. The colors and sharpness produced great memories from the trip. The zoom matches well against many of the competitors models that price out twice as much. It's good for up to 20ft depth. I wish it was a little more, but this didnt hinder anything that we wanted to explore while vacationing. Got about 220 shots +reviewing /deleting and many with flash on one battery charge.

It is a decent point and shoot. If I compare the pictures I get with this to those of my Canon 3Ti, there is just no comparison, despite the approximate pixel equivalent. Just goes to show that it is all in the lens, and not in the CMOS chip. But for the price, and the assurance that the wet of my kayak trips will not ruin it, this camera is ok. Best to use this at ISO 100 so as to get the best possible image quality.

I bought the camera for use on my Kayak. I was actually surprised at how clear the photos came out given the fact that the camera had water splashed on it and I was not really able to hold it still on the water. My only wish is that the zoom was better. That being said i got close enough to several herons to get a decent picture and using the continuous shooting mode (there is a button to easily press on top of the camera) I was able to capture some nice shots as they flew away! I look forward to taking some underwater shots of my grandkids in their pool and of fish when I go snorkeling next.
