The Fujifilm LH-XF35-2 lens hood is the proper finial for both the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.0 and Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2.0 lenses. Five stars THOUGH there is a bit of plastic lining the interior lumen of the hood where it mounts. Probably a good idea if one thinks about it a bit. The only real downside is the price. It?s too high, but you know that already and you like I, bought it anyway. It does look great on the lens. BTW, the subdued 23mm lens hood, original with the lens, isn't bad at all and well made. A center pinch lens cap works well with the metal hood. Enjoy!

The item is made of metal AND plastic. The hood part is metal, but the piece that attaches to the lens is plastic. I would expect the entire thing to be made of metal at this price.

This hood is far superior to the supplied hoods with both the 23 f/2 and the 35 f/2. It will work for both lenses. It is made of metal and bayonets on the lenses. It allows for the use of filters and supplied lens caps.

This hood is the same exact hood that fits the 23mm f2 WR lens that Fuji sells. Stores will label it as one or the other, but they are exactly the same. Same box, same markings, everything. It is overpriced for what you get, but I'm not complaining (just knocking it down a star) because it completes the look.

I purchased this silver hood to complement my silver XF 35 f/2 lens. The hood that shipped with the lens not consistent with the build of the lens. It was a tiny, black finished, screw-mounted hood. The lens was an anniversary present, and I wanted the silver hood for its appearance as well as its utility.. The hood has a bayonet mount and is beautifully machined and finished. It attaches easily and securely. I've had no problems with flare or wash outs in spite of frequent shots where the sun position could have been a factor. I have no reason to remove it since the entire package fits easily into my bag including when the lens is mounted on my X-E2.. The product is probably overpriced, but this seems to be consistent with other Fuji-branded accessories. It's worth the price to me, but your milage may vary. The XF 23 f/2 is on my radar, and this hood will fit that lens as well. Adorama had my order for several months while this hood was out of stock. They handled the entire transaction with a very high level of customer service.

I have a well regarded third party hood on my X100s and it clearly doers not compare to the quality of this Fujifilm unit. It has heavier metal, smoother edges, much better finish and better/easier fit to the lens. It is not a price rip-off!

Fuji provides 2 choices of lens hood for the 35mm f/2. A screw in hood and this hood, a bayonet hood. Of the two, I recommend this one, the bayonet. This hood allows the use of the standard lens cap. According to the Fuji web site, this hood is also the hood for the new 23mm f/2. So, for the money, this hood can do double duty. Unlike the screw-on hood, this hood can be stored, inverted, attached to the lens.

I picked the F2 rather than the 1.4 to have a small compact water resistent lens for walk around street photography. Focuses very fast, images look great.
