Not wanting to add another lens to my collection but wanting to try my hand at macro, the MCEX extension tubes was the logical answer. I purchased both the 16mm and 11mm, and cold not be more pleased. There are less expensive models out there but problem reviews kept popping up about them. This is the perfect way to jump into macro.

I am not able to justify the expenditure for a macro lens at this time so I acquired this Macro Extension Tube. This is a very high quality product that meets my needs at this time.

Works wonderfully with Fujifilm?s XF 18-55mm lens. A relatively inexpensive way to test the waters of near-macro photography.

This works really well for what it is. It won?t replace a dedicated macro lens but I do like the images this produces with my lenses.

This simple extension tube is remarkable! It even turns my 55-200mm into a macro lens! I usually use it on my 18-55mm "kit lens" for almost 1:1!!!

These were fun to play with. It fits tight (zero wiggle room). I used it to turn my 23mm and my 56mm primes into macro lenses. I haven't used it since actually getting the 80mm macro lens though. So its an affordable way to explore macro photography before/until you get a macro lens.

I use this with the 60mm not quite macro lens. It works fine for butterfly-sized critters

Very affordable. Works well for what I need it for. I do a lot of flower photography. I find the focus tricky to hit but it’s obtainable.

Works as advertised! I love the macro world and this allows me to get close with my 35 2.0 without breaking the bank!

Just what I was expecting- being able to get closer than my kit 18-55mm lens. Love the short dof but the image does lack sharpness. Been using it handheld though. Very happy and will probably be a stepping stone to a macro lens.

The extension tube works and allows AF, but I have had mixed luck on different lenses. On the 35mm f/2 WR lens there is a lot of fall-off around all edges. It is pretty much unusable because only the center of the frame is in focus - even at high apertures. The 56mm f/1.2 does a little better, but still very frustrating. The 18-135 zoom lens does much better, especially stopped down a bit. It is still not a real replacement for the macro lens. The 60mm macro is much better, but if you are just looking to get a bit closer to small objects that only fill the center of the frame, then this adapter is cheaper option.

This extension tube shoes exactly as described. Made of quality materials, tight fit. Not plasticy like some off-brand models. Contacts allow use of auto focus and auto exposure. I use this with the 16mm with an 18-55mm XF lens.

Solid construction and firm connections. Easy to take on and off. I have found that using manual focus with this item is almost a must. Not intended to be used in combination with other depth extension tubes.

It does what it is supposed to do. Autofocus works and this is the advantage over cheaper tubes.

I love throwing this on with my Fuji 60mm macro lens. The extension tube allows me to get so much closer to my subject. No complaints.

Much better quality than the similar knock-offs (these use harder metal for the mount rings that won't wear out as fast). All X-mount lenses work with this, but magnification will vary based on focal lengths. The 27mm pancake and 55-200mm deliver great results, and the tubes can be stacked. As others have mentioned depth of field is drastically reduced with these tubes so to compensate with small apertures some extra lighting, tripods, etc. is sometimes needed.

Used with the 35mm f2 lens and some legacy glass. Keep in mind the lack of macro apertures on regular lenses--the narrow depth of field may pose artistic challenges for certain shots.

It's not a complicated piece of gear. It fits and works well and seems to be sturdy, though I don't abuse my equipment.
