Randy G : Is there an opening for a hand strap?THOMAS M : Don’t use a hand strap. However, there is an opening at bottom you could apply a simple figure 8 wrist strap to. This aside, can’t imagine not having this grip. Excellent!PAUL M : No, there's no attachment point for a hand strap. Third-party camera brackets from Kirk or Really Right Stuff might have that, but the Fuji grip doesn't. The upside to the Fuji grip is it improves the handling of the X-T3 exponentially--which the traditional brackets don't--in addition to sliding right into an Arca-style quick-release tripod head.Raymond I : No Opening for a hand strap. However I have it mounted on my X-T3 and use a hand strap through one of the mounts for the neck strap. Works very well and the hand strap helps steady the camera for long hand held photographs.Phillipe M : The lugs on both sides of the camera where a strap woud be attached are not covered by the hand grip. So a hand strap could be attached to the camera without a problem.TIMOTHY L : I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "opening" but there is a square hole on the side at the base of the grip where one could attach a Peak Design anchor. The 1/4-20 screw that attaches to the base of the camera has a duplicate thread on the back side that allows for the attachment of another item that uses 1/4-20 screw. Personally, I use the Peak Design wrist strap as a hand strap by just sliding the strap over my four fingers and across the palm of my hand. It isn't quite the same as a hand strap but I find it works just as well (in terms of security and ease of use). I prefer it to the actual hand strap because the camera is easier to insert or remove from a bag and there is only one attachment point if I want to remove it entirely from the camera. Fuji Hand Grip

I find the additional hand grip crucial to the handling of the camera. . . also it does a great job protecting the base of the camera; so when it comes time for trade in you have something that will fetch you a better deal, and I can’t forget to mention the ARCA Swiss groove that allows you to attach to those style tripod head with out a plate.

Much improved handling for the X-T3

The hand grip for the X-T3 improved the handling of the X-T3 when I attach the heavier 16-55mm lens or the 55-200mm lens. It provides a deeper front grip for you right hand. The arca-swiss plate is a bonus, I wish Fuji would make a version of the grip with an arca-swiss L-bracket.
