I owned this when I had the X100F, and just repurchased for my pre-ordered X100V (I sold my old one). This is a great lens. It doesn't degrade the image quality or lens speed of the X100 series built-in lens (I'll report back on how it works with the new lens on the X100V), but unlikely using the "digital zoom", it does provide the perspective, depth of field and bokeh improvements you expect with a longer lens. In all ways, this lens converts the standard 23mm f/2 into a 33mm f/2, which is equivalent to a 50mm lens on full-frame. Two-years-ago I took my X100F and TCL lens to Japan and while I did occasionally remove the TCL for the wider view (standard is 35mm full-frame equivalent) I actually used my camera with the TCL attached for about 85% of the pictures I took. Usually I take my Leica and a bag full of high quality primes when I travel overseas, but for this trip it was just the X100F and the TCL. The resulting 11X14" coffee table book from this trip came out every bit as good as the similar books from previous trips shot on my Leica. No, it's not as good a Leica 50mm lens on a Leica camera, but in the format of 11X14" and smaller prints the difference is just not significant. Highly recommended for X100F, and while I've yet to try it on X100V (my camera won't ship until late March), I have no doubt it won't disappoint.

It works pretty well. Clear images and good focal length. I just felt it was too large and heavy, kind of against the idea of an X100F.

This lens is a fantastic addition to a X100F camera and doesn't degrade image quality one bit, but there are two caveats: 1) it kinda makes it a little unbalanced. The whole reason I bought the X100F is it's compact nature and how portable it is. The lens, when screwed on, doesn't make it so much heavier, just bulkier and a bit less fun to shoot with. But that for me is in no way a deal breaker, but number two very well could be and that is 2) it's not very durable at all, and if something does go wrong Fuji up in NJ isn't going work on it. In my case, I was attempting to mount the screw on lens flange, dropped it on to a low pile carpeted floor at an event I was shooting, and caused the lens to go ever so slightly out of round on the mounting flange. Game over. No more TCL as there isn't a way to have it fixed. So, if you don't have butter fingers like me or don't plan to attach it mid-event, it's all good. Otherwise, maybe you should pass.

Don’t rely on the digital 50mm camera setting get the real deal with this conversion lens. Unlike the digital in-camera offering, there is no noticeable drop off in picture quality whilst maintaining F2. Nicely done. Yes, it has some heft to it, however, I use a great Gordy’s leather wrist strap and I can easily handle and support the camera with the conversion lens mounted.

This conversion lens does not disappoint, turning the 23mm fixed lens into a 33mm. Provides a slightly more pleasing perspective for portraiture. I had the version one for my X100T and wouldn't consider not having this lens for my X100F.

The lens has exceeded my expectations. The image quality and craftsmanship of the lens is impressive. Though it is a tad bit overpriced, it is well worth the investment - especially if you create headshots and portraits.
