Purchased the Fuji EXR 80 at the recommendation of a fellow diver working at our local camera shop. I bought the camera knowing that there was an underwater housing, but that I had to purchase it online. [...] Having read through the directions very carefully, I tested the housing (alone and subsequently with camera inside) in our kitchen sink. Then we brought the camera and housing with us to Grand Cayman for our kids' first dedicated dive trip (12 and 14 years old)! The camera was extremely easy to use! It's best to remember to set the automatic settings to "Underwater" - but, pictures still turned out just fine, when not set properly. The price of the camera and housing together was significant, but WELL WORTH IT!!! Having photos of our dives and the kids diving are priceless! Besides I now have a fabulous "point and shoot" camera with the OPTION of a DIVE camera. The care and handling of the housing is not as complicated or difficult as the instructions suggest. You've just got to use it and become comfortable with the routine. For the record, we dove to 110' and had no trouble with the housing - other than diminishing light. I will definitely be looking for a flash attachment for our next dive trip! Oh, by the way, the Fuji EXR 80 takes FANTASTIC photos on dry land, as well!
