Great camera, small grip

I bought this camera because I wanted a mirrorless. The X-T10 is smaller than the previous camera I was using (Nikon D5300). It has taken a little to get used to because of the different features and smallness of it. If you have larger hands, it might be difficult to hold. The 18-55 2.8-4 is a good all-around lens. I'm glad I went with the better option. JPEG's from this camera with the film simulation is AMAZING!! I would recommend it just for that. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is just because of the lack of grip. Other than that, I would recommend this to anyone.

.Good camera

Good camera, 18-55 lens is sharp, very light weight compared to my Canon 5dii. I purchased the.Fujifilm after much research between Sony, Canon and Olympus. I like the built in flash, instructions are easy to understand. I like the fact that Fujifilm has a good variety of lens to choose from. I will purchase Fujifilm again when I upgrade.

Excellent travel kit

Purchased this kit as my entry to the mirrorless world. Coming from 35mm (yes, film) SLRs, so the centered EVF and form factor were big points for me from a comfort and transition standpoint. My primary use of non-cell phone cameras is for travel, but I found myself travelling with my SLR kit less and less over the past couple years just due to sheer bulk, but have always hated the final look of point-and-shoot photos, so size was also a huge factor. Enter the X-T10. After a week of tweaking setting and getting used to the Fuji system, I took this on a 3-week wilderness trip to New Zealand and Australia. It performed absolutely wonderfully, even with "just" the XC kit lens. With the lens attached, it's compact and durable enough to wear around all day or toss in a daypack (I grabbed a cheap fitted neoprene case off Amazon), and the ability to quickly click over to full auto mode makes it wonderful for handing off to my wife or other companions if they want to snap a quick photo (or if I want to be in it). The camera itself is physically easy to handle despite the small size. I could see how it would cause some strain if you're a pro and shooting for long stretches at a time, but for my purposes of grabbing only a few frames at a time before moving on to another location, there was no discomfort at all. Once you get used to the controls, getting through custom settings is quick and easy, particularly once you've set up the custom buttons. The additional front dial is great as well, as are some of the fancier EVF options like the histogram and level-line. Coming from old-school film, it's amazing how much you begin to rely on things you never thought you needed. The resulting pictures are impressive, especially for the lower pixel count vs. other models I was comparing, and I think this is where the Fuji shines. Most of my photos are shared online, and what prints I do make rarely exceed 8x10, so massive pixel counts aren't really a need for me. Using the same size sensor to capture fewer pixels seems to allow the Fuji system to process each of them with a little more accuracy and punch, of course depending on your settings. JPG conversion was also excellent - after a week of playing around, I was able to get photos straight off the camera that required virtually no correction in post, and for quick sharing I was perfectly happy extracting JPGs straight from the camera and sending them off untouched. There were a couple moments that I found myself wishing this body had some weatherproofing (the lack thereof is quite obvious when you open the battery compartment), but that was easily solved by a good raincoat I was already wearing, and overall not worth the weight and price difference to the X-T1 for me. That said, the body itself is extremely durable and feels that way - at no point did I feel like I had to handle the kit like a glass egg. For true professionals or advanced semi-pros, you're probably going to want a richer feature set than what the X-T10 offers, and certainly at least the XF glass to pair with it. For beginners, the variety of controls might be a bit much as well, though full auto mode helps and it's a nice camera to grow into. For a hobbyist that understands their way around a basic SLR, likes to fiddle, and needs something light and compact, this was the perfect combination of size, performance, and customization. Definitely happy with my purchase!

Fantastic camera

The Fuji X-T10 has all of the capabilities of the Fuji XT1 except for a dial to change ISO and waterproofing, but with the addition of a built-in flash, at roughly half the cost of the XT1. The X-T10 is a much better choice.

Great Images in a Small Package

I bought the X-T10 as a lighter complement to my Nikon D7100. I chose the X-T10 over the X-T1 because it was much cheaper and I prefer to put my money in the glass. I fell in love with the camera since and have sold all my Nikon equipment except my macro lenses which I use on the Fuji with an adapter. Image quality is outstanding. While I'm not a pro, I've sold a dozen images blown up to 12x20 and larger...the detail is there. Biggest complaint has been that it's so small, I accidentally push the back buttons. It is not great on action shots either but I learned to frame the shot with spare room and shoot in continuous mode. I always got shot some good shots of my son o the football field. While I love it, I'm seriously thinking of upgrading to the X-T2!

Very happy with Fuji XT10

I had been planning on waiting for the XT2 but I did some more research and decided to buy this great camera instead. For the money you just can't beat it. It handles very well although it takes a while to figure out how to avoid pushing the buttons on the back by mistake. I used the $1000 I saved to buy lenses. I would highly recommend this camera for portraits, nature, even light sports or action shots.

Great little Camera

Shoots a little slow compared to my 810 but best of all the mirror less cameras I have tried. I tried several mirrorless cameras before this and it is very satisfactory I will probably add to the system, at least a telephoto zoom possibly another body. It takes a lot to satisfy me,

ergonomics is not good

I bought this as my first Fuji camera as I've heard so much great things about its lens line and image quality. The X-T10 looks really good on paper, but the ergonomic design is really not that good. compared to Sony a6000/a6300, which is also a small camera, even lighter than this, X-T10 doesn't have something to grip with, I'd always have to use left hand to hold the lens to have a sure hold of the camera. when a quick release plate is put on, the battery door can't be opened! I totally didn't expect this, as I have always had QR plate on my other cameras. Imagine in the middle of a critical shoot and need to change battery! then I'd have to fumble with allen wrench to take off the QR... and the battery charger comes with a thick cord! every other charger I have in recent decade comes with a flip-out plug! I'll see if the images are so good to live with all these design flaws.

Beautiful images - best mirrorless I own (sony a6000, fuji x-100)

This was a backup for my D810. Exceptionally lightweight. Bought the 14mm lens to complement the kit 18-50mm lens. Takes really crisp jpegs. Although it's not as speedy as my D810 to lock of focus, it's not too bad; worlds better than my old X100. This was a backup for my D810. Exceptionally lightweight. Bought the 14mm lens to complement the kit 18-50mm lens. Takes really crisp jpegs. 16 mps is acceptable; 24 mps would have been better to allow tighter cropping. Although it's not as speedy as my D810 to lock of focus, it's not too bad; worlds better than my old X100. Strongly recommend purchasing the Fujifilm leather half sleeze - camera is slightly too small when holding (no, my hands aren't big) such that I kept inadvertently hit the right button by the clickwheel, and this half sleeve improves handling; pity it's expensive, but it's well made. Also, it doesn't obstruct the flippy LCD screen. No question, get the sleeve when you buy the camera. Buy this camera

My needs for a new camera system was pretty simple. I needed a compact body, with full manual control, and had to take amazing pictures. This camera does that. I chose the x-T10 over the X-T1 for a couple of reasons. Slightly smaller body and the price. Since Fuji just released the new X Pro 2 I figured it is just a matter of time for Fuji to update the X-T line and it will be at that point I'll jump over to the updated body. I also bough Fuji's XF 27mm prime lens. When compared to my Canon G10, the Fuji with the 27mm is not much bigger. Perfect for taking pictures without attracting unwanted attention. Do I have any regrets? None. The pictures are sharp and look fantastic right out of the camera.

The camera it should be

It is small, a little too small. But its other good features justifies five stars. The design is thoughtful, better than cameras of other brands. Although the dynamic range is not as good as that of a Nikon I have, it is capable of producing excellent images if we get familiar with its personality and know how to make use of it. Overall, its easy to carry around and use while it can be used for serious projects. In addition, it is supported by all the excellent lenses, including the kit zoom. With this initial test, I will switch to Fuji as my main Camera system.

Very happy with the X-T10, it seems a little quicker to focus than the X-T1 in my limited use so far. I actually like the change of not having the ISO dial on top of the drive dial, I've reassigned the front function wheel to setting ISO which makes it very easy and quick to change. As has been printed in reviews, the image quality is the usual high Fuji quality and the build quality of the body is great. Overall seems like a really solid value to me, if you don't want to spend quite as much on your camera body, buy the X-T10 and then use the difference in money from a X-T1 body on your lens choices.
