Great affordable laptop!
Purchased this laptop to supplement our HP desktop that we've had for several years. Very pleased with the speed and ease of use and find ourselves using it more than our desktop. The configuration was spot on and the Ultra 5 doesn't disappoint! I would strongly recommend the 1GB SSD vs the 512 SSD and go with the 16 GB of RAM, makes all the difference!

Satisfaction with the quality and speed of the HP

Definitely Recommend
I love my new HP laptop. I wanted a large screen, but I don't do "gaming". I found this 17.3 inch laptop at a very reasonable price. The resolution is great and the keyboard is comfortable to use. This laptop had all of the specs that I was looking for and even more.

Decent computer, with some caveats
HP sent a review request though the computer is still new. It's ok, a couple areas of concern are the plastic hinges, also the computer needs to be opened to change the battery. Time will tell if/how these issues play out.

Bas experience.
I would not recommend this laptop.I was on the phone 5 days trying to get it registered.I couldn't understand the techs I was talking to. All India language.horrible communication.I would not recommend this company. Bad service & laptop was not worth what I paid.

Almost everything
It is a great computer and faster than my last HP, Yet it is missing a SD Card reader port. Had to go buy and external SD card reader port.

HP OmniBook 7 173 LT AI
Top notch Laptop, great speed and lots of features. Does not have a ethernet port or CD Rom. I am old school, but still really good. You get what you pay for.

So far, so good.
It's got everything I need. Large touchscreen and the 32 gig of ram is a pleasure to have especially when all I had previously was 8 gig. Effortless transfer of files. since HP backup recognized my backup on the old computer. Nice power on/off button on keyboard, Lots of new features including AI. I'm glad I waited for this one. Excellent sale over the holidays. I have been always using HP for all my computer needs and Im pretty happy with them.

Competent laptop
I needed a new laptop for home/personal stuff and some presentation creation. The Omnibook 7 met all my criteria in an affordable package. I like the 17 inch screen because I need a larger keyboard for my large hands. I also like the size of the screen for readability. The keyboard touch is outstanding. I can do video conferencing with everything built-in.

do your homework! before you call HP
pretty good laptop but! lots of unnecessary programs running in background using up memory. On every start i have to manually stop them. It has frozen up maybe 3 times in a month. Increased internet speed to 1000 from 500, that made an overall difference. Copilot and windows 11 i could do without ! my files for pics are numerous, not easy to navigate. When i purchased the machine it was very involved- no one seemed to kn0w what they were doing, only there to make a sale. The laptop arrived early- which was nice. They insisted i didnt have it yet. what a fiasco! and so many confusing answers to questions. Overpriced, altho they insisted i was getting a deal

Laptop, Yes -- Portable, Not So Much
A great large screen laptop with plenty of storage and computing power for easy everyday use. The bright, crisp, LARGE screen makes this machine tough to travel with or even routinely from room to room, but that same (touch) screen makes this a wonderful computer and quality buy.

Performance is Great, but at the Cost of Essential Features
I wish HP would go back to name-brand audio systems in its flagship products. The audio was amazing when Beats partnered with them. Even Band & Olufsen had some great properties. The current audio is decent, but not great. More than anything, I dislike that the current model did away with the fingerprint scanner. I understand their pursuit to remain consistent with the growth of AI, but for most users, the need for an entire AI button is unnecessary.

MS makes setup almost impossible.
I think it'll be a wonderful laptop for my husband but it's been very difficult to setup with Microsoft 365 & Office.

I would never recommend ordering a laptop from H.P. If you can go to a store and walk out with it, fine. If you order it, it took ONE MONTH and numerous phone calls to get it. BUYER BE WARE!

Happy with my HP OmniBook 7!
I am pleased with my HP OmniBook 7 Laptop 17.3" touch screen! My old HP laptop was nearly 14 years old and unable to be updated to Windows 11. I also had an HP desktop that was 13 years old. My goal was to replace both with a laptop. I wanted the largest screen available in a laptop, and I have always been happy with my HP computers, so opted to stay with HP. So far so good. Still in a learning process but set up was easy and I am happy with the screen, keyboard and appearance!

Fadley-Bray HP's
We currently have three HP's on our table. Touch screen is great for the kid. Fadley's newest HP 7 is fast and has plenty of storage space for the books he writes. That alone makes it very easy on Bray. One improvement would be to add a keyboard cover; a very thin coating that is heat shrunk to fit. This would help with water proof surface.

I ordered sku:BE1C5UA#ABA 8/20/25 received same week. It stopped working in 2 weeks. Angelo in India helped, made a case#5149604009, 1 Oct. No help since.

New laptop. Speakers do not work. Support has not been a good experience. Support person over chat basically ignored me until I disconnected. I am considering returning this computer.

HP OmniBook 7 laptop
I always buy HP laptops. Well, this time I decided to go with a different brand and after 6 months I said NO......... I don't like this like my other ones. I lost money but I went back to the HP laptops. I wanted something that was going to last a long time. Fast, plenty of memory, and all of the good features. I absolutely love my OmniBook 7. It has everything. There are 2 things I don't care for and I am sure I can change these in the settings. I don't really like face recognition and I don't like that it goes to sleep after a few seconds from walking away from it. I would recommend purchasing this item.
