I love the large and clear screen. The keys have a great feel to them. The keypad is easy to use and very receptive.

HP was the only one with 17inch screen that I trusted. Color graphics & sound tops the line. Computer was quick right out of the box (Microsoft not so much) about the only thing missing and the only reason not 5 stars is no back lighting on the keyboard.

Same level of performance as my 12-year-old Windows 10 HP Laptop.

I needed to replace my broken Pavillion. I really don't need everything this laptop offers but for a little extra I stepped up to this one. They do offer more powerful units, but this is more than enough for me now that I'm retired and just taking care of my day-to-day needs. If you have the means, I recommend this laptop.

The laptop is nicely designed and fast and efficient. I use it for music production so I don't mind the large bulky presence of it but if you're looking for something more size friendly, this isn't the device for you.

This was an update for an old ASUS that won't update to Win11. I expected it to be lighting-fast but it actually seems a bit slower.

This is my 5th HP computer. '91 was a 386 SX-16 and then a few laptops over the years - the older laptop from '14 still works; that's impressive! The original battery is still alive... What I don't like is the overly sensitive "rocker" as opposed to the older L/R buttons on the touch pad. Also there's something I've NEVER seen before...the up/down page ?? buttons are wonky - some web pages scroll just fine and some "page up - page down", NOT scroll; that's a time eating pain. It does boot fast though....wow! Windows 11 is NOT intuitive - 10 was easy to figure out in just a few hours..not HP's fault. Overall I'd buy another one.

Computer has frozen on me several times in it's first week just from using chrome. Feels heavier than my desktop computer but somehow very underpowered. Screen looks nice in a dark room but the glare is really bad. No help from HP support.

With the first startup it worked ok and loaded the software. I could not get it to see my HP W10 computer on my network which seems strange and is causing difficulties. then this morning it is completely different and does not recognize me. wiped out my desktop icons and is in a new world. It acts like it is the first time I've turned it on.

It's difficult to open the lid without opening it right in the center, which is where the camera is and I'm concerned about damage

I love the machine, my husband bought it for me, so have nothing to say on set up. The color is good, word program is great, I am writing a book, and the memory allows me to move around great amounts of material with ease. l like the size of the screen but am unhappy with the weight of the machine. it is faster and easier to use than the last machine, but the size of the keyboard is a little off.

Great laptop. Ordering directly from HP is the way go! Wanted at least 1TB hard drive and a specific number of inputs and outputs. They built me exactly what I needed. Transferring data from my old laptop was a breeze. Laptop showed up at my door eliminating a trip to a big box store.

My file explorer is slow to load, and I've had this for 1 week. When I use SaaS products, it's super slow. I have 32 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GPU

Sleek kinda heavy but seems heavy duty and sturdy not loving the new mouse pad area with no left right buttons and dosen't seem to have removable battery thats a downside as batteries go bad and good way to reboot if stuck was to remove battery for few mins now not an option had to let it die to get reboot after bad update , it is quick so far bought son new HP one version down from this one the case is definately more heavy duty than his we are long term HP users this is my 3rd straight HP after trying dell and gateway came back to HP

This computer is the bomb, lol! I absolutely love it! I didn't expect it to be so big, but it's so worth it. I also love how it has a huge storage capacity! Two thumbs up for this one!!!

I picked up the Omnibook 7 for about $1200 with a student discount and an ethernet adapter. In my experience, it is the best laptop with a dedicated GPU that is still going to get you through the day and not break the bank. That's a pretty specific set of needs, but I had a specific set of requirements just due to my major and my hobbies. I wanted a long battery life of 5+ hours of uptime so that I could get through a full day of classes. Additionally, I needed a lot of RAM to access large master assemblies in CAD. Finally, I wanted a dedicated GPU for rendering projects and a little gaming on the side. So far, it has been pretty good at meeting all of these needs. Coming from a laptop with about an hour and a half of uptime on battery and only 8gb of ram, this was a very good upgrade, and I still don't think I'm maximizing its potential just because of my old habits from the other system. It charges in like an hour, and the battery can handle several hours of CAD work with even more to spare on long shop days. I haven't put the GPU through its paces entirely yet, but I can already assume it won't be running ultra raytracing on any modern games. For the few older games I have played though, it runs high graphics wonderfully at about 90fps. I don't expect the GPU to be the bottleneck, that would probably be the CPU due to the lunar lake architecture from Intel focusing on efficiency over performance, a welcome trade-off for most students. I do have a few things to pick at. The most annoying of which is the laptop will soft lock if put to sleep for more than 5 minutes, requiring you to hold down the power button until it shuts down and then restart it. I got around this by using hibernate when I want to keep my programs open. YouTube videos have about a 50% chance of opening as a stuttering mess that can only be fixed by restarting the laptop; I have updated all of the drivers, went to a lower resolution, turned off ambient mode, etc, and nothing helps. I'm sure there is some resolution I just haven't discovered yet. The screen isn't very bright and will cast reflections very easily. Personally, I'd prefer a matte screen with no touch features. The last thing is that it does not pass the one finger open test, which being a 5lb laptop is kind of disappointing. The build quality is great. I like the aluminum frame, and the keyboard is wonderful. I do find myself needing to clean it often though cause any oil from my hands shows up very clearly. The laptop is massive compared to some, but it does not feel as big due to its slim build. Despite weighing almost as much as my old gaming laptop it feels way more portable. I prefer smaller backpacks so I did need to go on quite the hunt for a bag that could fit it right, but it would fit fine in most bags over 20L. Setup was just like any other windows laptop: remove bloatware, disable a bunch of start-up tasks, and set to dark mode. I did need to do quite a few updates, including a bios update, but HP makes that pretty easy, and NVIDIA's app gave me access to the game ready graphics drivers. I will be giving this 5 stars just due to its ability to hit the sweet spot between performance and efficiency that I needed. Any laptop is going to have its quirks and this one's don't prevent it from being an outstanding product, I only mention them so that anyone who needs the same specs i do, can be aware of them from day 0.

The only problem I have with the new laptop is the finger pad used for selecting text etc. It's too hard to press with the left side. You have to press 2 or 3 times to select. Right works fine for moving.

High expectations, never disappointed before!

I have been a fan of HP Products for a very long time. As I understand it, this new OmniBook series is taking the place of the Envy line. I loved two Envys and now adore my Omen desktop and am looking forward to logging many hours on this laptop. I love the 17' size, and it is lightweight too. I am a busy author, TV producer, podcaster and consultant so I expect the Omni to wear a lot of hats!
