Love the surround sound effect of the speakers. Longer battery life and the charging port. Oh boy, not on the corner where it lands every time it slides off your lap . Updated plug and longer battery life.

HP laptop was purchased at the same time as a HP small tower and both are quite good. Very good battery life. I am not sure I would purchase a PC with an AI processor again. Way too intrusive. Although my replacement machines were running Windows 11, Microsoft Windows 11 on my new tower and laptop have scrambled up my existing systems in a way I thought was not possible. Very upset! With four PCs now untrustworthy I am finally planning to switch to Linux. HP should abandon Windows 11 and offer Linux OS PCs.

We bought a brand new computer. We never turned it on and decided to return it because it was too big (17") for what we are trying to do. We tried to explain that to HP and return the laptop without a restocking fee but we got faced with a robot like responses and not human beings with flexibility and understanding of the problem at hand. It is not worth it to buy anything from HP.

My experience with installing and initially using the HP OmniBook has been very good. The Backup and transfer procedure were very easy to follow. There were a few apps that had to be installed, but otherwise I was quite pleased

I purchased this laptop in December 2025 to replace my 8 year-old Dell laptop. I use this laptop for: email, tracking finances and taxes, planning travel, online purchases and reservations and managing the 1000 of photos that my wife and I take annually. The essential features for me were: 2 TB solid-state drive, backlit keyboard, number pad, HDMI port, multiple USB ports and a high definition, bright screen for accurate color representation for photo editing. So far I'm very happy with this purchase and the performance of the laptop. The only challenging aspect was disabling the computer's desire to backup everything to Microsoft's OneDrive. This feature may be useful for some but I purchased the large capacity drive so I can manage all of my file locally. Once this was turned off, the computer's performance improved and it was more responsive with minimal or no lag time.

I love this computer. It has all the features I need for what I use it for. I just needed a basic, fast, easy -to-use computer and this one fits the bill. My only complaint is that the power cord is on the left side, and the right side is where my outlet is. I am lefthanded and my mouse sometimes get caught on the cord. I do like using a mouse even though the touch pad works fine.

The keyboard includes a (for me) useless numeric keypad. As a result the main keyboard is mini-size. Also, the keys have little travel or tactile feedback. As a result, typing is error-prone. The mousepad has no left and right buttons. Things like click-and-drag are difficult and strain the hands. Is this an effort to look Mac-like?

Cant really review the laptop, orderd end of November, was delivered to FedEx on December 11th and it has sat there since, now January 10. It was a Christmas present for someone to take back to school. Had to purchase an off brand from Amazon. Resolution department told me they were working on customs paperwork...?? Unfortunately I am sending it back to them..if Hp or I ever receive it and get a refund.

Purchased this laptop to supplement our HP desktop that we've had for several years. Very pleased with the speed and ease of use and find ourselves using it more than our desktop. The configuration was spot on and the Ultra 5 doesn't disappoint! I would strongly recommend the 1GB SSD vs the 512 SSD and go with the 16 GB of RAM, makes all the difference!

I love my new HP laptop. I wanted a large screen, but I don't do "gaming". I found this 17.3 inch laptop at a very reasonable price. The resolution is great and the keyboard is comfortable to use. This laptop had all of the specs that I was looking for and even more.
