I felt pressured to get a new machine because of Windows 10 support ending. Then, support was extended and I have not unboxed the new machine as a result. Wish I had waited to purchase.

Horrible performance. Firstly when I ordered it I specifically selected 12GB RAM. It shipped with 8GB instead. To make things worse, when the computer is on and no apps are running, 80% of the RAM is used. Contacted HP support and they *generously* offered to take it back (minus 15% restocking), and to charge DOUBLE to get the exact one except with 12GB RAM instead. Waste of money. Be warned.

We love this laptop! The setup was quick and easy right out of the box, and everything runs smoothly. It works great for everything we need, and the screen size is perfect. We've been so happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use laptop.

So happy with my new HP. This is replacing my old 15.6 pavilion laptop which I had for 6 years. This laptop is lighter, runs quiet, has the backlight keyboard and touch screen...what more could you want. Perfect for working from home.

I have two suggestions:1) I do not like where the power button is located. It is too easy to hit it by mistake. My recommendation would be to place it at the top right corner. 2) I miss a second CTRL key near where the Copilot button is located. Perhaps combining CTRL and Copilot key using the shift key for Copilot.

This laptop is great! Although I am not tech-savvy and I thought I bought the Word, Excel, etc included in the package (because it said Microsoft something or other) and those applications (Word, Excel) were not included. The laptop is great!

This is a nice laptop for every day email, web surfing, social media, etc. It is light weight, was very easy to set up, and I especially like the backlit keyboard. This next part is more of a food for thought thing, than a criticism of the laptop, as I really do like the laptop alot. We lefties have learned to adapt over the years, but if you want true feedback on things...here is a sticking point for me. This is the second HP laptop I have purchased in the last couple of years and the only thing I really miss is the CTRL key on the right side of the keyboard, as I am left handed and it makes it awkward to use the CTRL key with my right hand while selecting (mousing) with my left hand. It appears that the key was replaced with the AI key....not sure if this is an HP thing but would love to see the second CTRL key return to the right side of the keyboard.

We've stuck with HP for computers and printers for years, because they are reiable. The one I just purchased has one of the qualities I look for in a computer which is a backlit keyboard. I thought it also had a touchscreen, but sadly, it doesn't. I am only going to use it as a back up, if something goes wrong with my current laptop, because I prefer a computer with a touchscreen.

I bought this during a great sale specifically for portable amatuer radio use. The software isn't demanding, but light weight, good WiFi, a clear and bright screen, a familiar keyboard layout and othr features that this laptop have were important. I use 2 EliteDesk 800s in my home office and my main laptop is a 16" Envy with the i9 processor. Fro what I use it for, this seems just as fast. The screen is not a 4k, but the laptop weighs a lot less. I think this is a great laptop for what most people would use one for. At 62% off the full retail price, this is almost a must-buy item. performance and features right in the middle and a price down at the bottom. I have had nothing from HP computers for years, including an ultra lightweight but slower 16" with the N200 processor. There was nothing wrong with that laptop for indoor use, but the screen on the new OmniBook is soo much better in outdoor light (with shade) that I had to buy it!

Beware of the tactics HP uses to sell their products and others. When I purchased my laptop, HP also sold me Office that includes Word, Excel and Power Point. Turns out the laptop came with Office preloaded. I've tried working with HP to refund the software since I haven't downloaded it from a predefined website. On three occasions they tell me they will review my case and get back with me in 24-48 hours. They have not connected me as promised. I am now out $150 since they won't rectify the situation. They have now lost my respect and I will no longer purchase any product from them as a result of the treatment I have received.
