Easy to set up and use

For the first time ever I didn't have computer support to transfer my old laptop to my new one. Using PCMover I found the process to be easy, even though it took almost 20 hours! Once my laptop was moved I only had to download my printer drivers and software to make the new system work like the old one. I am VERY impressed with the speed and ease of use for this system.

Like My New HP Laptop

About the only problem (Fault) so far---is the placement of the laptop's "touch pad" location...Really causes problems when typing in messages, whatever, etc. One keeps "Fat-Fingering" touchpad and resets the location of the typing pointer etc. causing re-typing errors and numerous re-typing efforts!!!!!!!!!!! mcclelland051

Speed is good

Excellent PC, but LONG shipping time from the Far East

The HP OmniBook 5 16 inch Laptop PC is an EXCELLENT laptop, and the sale price was unbeatable. I would have given 10 stars, except the process to expedite the PC took too long. As it tuned out, the simple options I ordered required the machine to be specially assembled in Vietnam and the shipping process too nearly 2 weeks. But, again, the PC is GREAT!

My HP OmnoBook5

Does the laptop do everything I need? Absolutely! However I am not able to customize the laptop the way I desire which is annoying. I can not rename the laptop no matter how man times I've tried. I also can not customize the back ground to my liking as all the themes see pixelated, they don't look good at all. It does what I need and that's fine. I just want it do everything it is supposed to do. I would love it if someone could contact me about this as well.

To my surprise, it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. The facial recognition unlock is very easy to use, the performance is extremely fast, and the battery has excellent life. In addition, the keyboard is comfortable, the design is elegant, and the system responds instantly, which makes my daily work much easier. Today I can confidently say that this HP laptop has exceeded all my expectations. It has become an essential tool for my business, combining practicality, security, and efficiency.

The Good, Bad and the Ugly

The Good:  Fast build and fast shipping!             The Bad:     It did not work for more than a day. The unit would not charge, and the battery died. The Ugly:    HP Customer Service had me on the chat for 1 hr and 50 minutes.  I had to beg them to replace the failed unit.  When they agreed, they wanted to charge me about $175.00 more to get a new unit.  The failed unit was not a refurbished unit, it was a custom build from their web site.   The replacement unit was ordered 8-21-2025. built fairly fast 1 week and shipping out the door.  HP shipped the replacement unit International Economy Class, unlike the first unit.  It is now the end of day Sept. 17, 2025 and we're still waiting for the replacement unit to arrive. FedX  tracking is crazy. They've missed the 4 delivery dates they gave us.  We have to stay home to sign for it. This morning it said due to arrive tomorrow 9-18-25 before 8PM, I think I'll stay home all day tomorrow and wait.

Tried and True

Bought this for my wife. She had HP's before but we tried a different brand before this purchase. She had issues with the other brand so we went back to HP after just a few months. You can feel the quality in the HP. Setup was simple and battery life is excellent. Keystrokes are solid, the display is beautiful and the speaker sound quality is great. We're very happy with this OmniBook and won't look elsewhere when it comes time to replace it.
