Expanding my Spectre 3 fold.
This G-5 Dock turned my HP Spectre x360 into an amazing machine with 3 monitors. It looks stealth sitting in the middle of my desk, unassuming, but ready for more plug ins.

Works great with MacBook Air
The G5 is a replacement for a more portable docking device for my MacBook Air, which tended to overheat when operating an external disc drive. With the G5 I found I really don't need the portability, it stays on my desk with accessories connected. An added benefit is my external speakers sound much better through the docking system, so high marks for the DAC in the G5!

Is it a new product I got? I runs good, only thing is when i move the mouse or type to bring the laptop back from sleeping, it doesn't wake it up, whereas the same product from my job office works when i attach the same laptop.

Works fine after some initial incorrect setup error messages.
Easy setup - but I received some error messages during the setup of the new laptop the docking station was hooked up to. One was for the insufficient power, which is clearly wrong as the computer power need is on 75% of the dock output, and the second was for my mouse which was not even connected yet.

Enables quick moves between home and office
Number of ports is good and the types of video and USB are what I needed. This is great for quickly moving between work at the office and home. Unplug one cable and ready to move.

Partially works as desired
Although I bought my notebook and the dock at the same time, I don't think the notebook and dock are fully compatible. The USB ports work for an attached keyboard and mouse. The network port works. However, it does not charge the notebook and the HDMI connected monitor does not project. The HDMI port on the notbook projects to the monito but the dock HDMI does not. I spent several hours plugging and unplugging as recommended in troubleshooting. I downloaded drivers and firmware and updated all of those. I used the troubleshooting app/ I looked on the suggested youtube feeds. That's the state I am in.

I had a laptop. I used a cheap docking station and the screen kept flickering. I upgraded to this model, and it works perfectly. No flickering screens.

Lacking plug-n-play options
USB-C charging & HDMI not working yet. Can't get answer if they are even compatible with other and they were suggested. USBs & sound are OK.

Docking station
I bought this docking station for school. It works great. I set up 2 monitors and my hp surface. Worked instantly, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a reliable dock.

A high quality compact laptop docking station for home or business use.

Great little dock
Clean and sleek dock. I love the single cable to "dock" the elitebook. It takes up little space and has plenty of cord length and ports display and usb.

NOT Mac compatible, specs saying otherwise are lies
Do not believe when they say it is mac compatible it is NOT. Only allows screen mirroring instead of extending the desktop across monitors plugged into this dock.
Also it will randomly cause one of the monitors to turn off so yeah, total trash. I guess it works fine if you have a PC but their specs say that it is compatible with Mac OS

Perfect for hot swapping laptops
I bought this dock to declutter my home desk and make switching between my HP work laptop and my Dell personal laptop easy. I use it with two AOC monitors, DAS wired keyboard and Microsoft webcam plugged directly into the dock and everything works perfectly and consistently. Definitely money well spent.

Bought 4 of these for our company. 3 out of the 4 will not work as they should. The docking stations will not maintain connected to ethernet network, monitors, or USB peripherals . Only 1 of the 4 works as would be expected.

Quality, connectivity, conformity to industry standards
Using it mainly with a Dell Latitude 7k running Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) as my main pro+private workstation. Only caveat in this cross-brand setup: the power-button on the dock doesn't work, so if you want the laptop to go to sleep even when connected to the power-supply (I don't), you need open/close the lid to wake it up.
