HP 65W Smart AC Adapter

It actually seems funny to be writing a review about an AC adapter because it doesn't have that many features other than you plug one into the wall and you plug the other end into your computer, but HP asked me if I would write a review and since I'm happy with them and the three HP laptops I bought over the past couple of years, I figured I'd oblige them and write this review.. So the 65 watt AC adapter works just great. But I'll mention something else that I'm very happy with. About a year ago I actually bought a fourth laptop from HP but when it arrived I realized the keyboard wouldn't accommodate my fat fingers even before I plugged it in, so I sent it back and got a full refund without any difficulty, and they even covered the shipping in both directions. So I'm very happy with their customer service and sales people, as well as the three 17" laptops that my family has been using.

The HP website suggested this as the power supply for my new Envy. It was not. I initiated an exchange and was told that HP did not sell the product I needed. They initiated a return and told me that they would waive their restocking fee and not charge shipping. They did not, and are impossible to reach.

Way overpriced for what it is - but if you need an OPM charger and don't want to risk using an aftermarket, you're pretty much stuck.

It worked fine, but was so expensive. I very quickly lost it so that was my second power cord. I can't keep spending $70 for a replacement. I ordered something else.

This is a much better adapter than the one provided with original purchase two months earlier. The original adapter had a two part junction that was bound to break This looks the same but the junction is covered and protected. I can't imagine why HP went so cheap with the original because it must hurt their reputation. I will certainly reconsider buying HP again because of this. JUst raise the price to cover a better adapter to begin with.

I bought this as as spare. The original wire is starting to wear out, and I wanted a new charging wire ready for when the old one goes out. So far, what I like is that it is longer than the original charger. Haven't used it yet, but once I do, I'll update my review.

It is nice that it comes with a few other cords with other plug-in options in case you have other laptops that do not use the same one. It has a nice long cord and is light weight. The price of the cord was reasonable.

the transformer/power box, get extremely HOT ... must be cognizant of placement as it can get hot enough to burn a person or furniture.. I make sure mine in on the tile floor

It is useless product. It is loose and doesn't connect to my laptop snugly. Falls out easily. Returning the item is a nightmare and takes 20 days to process the return is ridiculous. How is it Amazon is able to process and do returns quickly and HP can't? Customer service uses Covid-19 as an excuse for the possible delay in receiving my item. Meanwhile I get a confirmation from UPS that they have received my item but I did not receive any confirmation from HP that they received my item, even though it is their condition in order to process my return back to my credit card. NEVER SHOPPING ONLINE WITH HP EVER AGAIN!
