Disappointed
I was very disappointed in this printer. I am replacing an Officejet 8710 that recently quit and I thought I was buying one that had similar specs and it is not quite as good. I don't like how it overly saturates the paper to the point that it curls. It doesn't print as fast and it doesn't scan double sided. I use this in my classroom and I just feel it is not going to be able to keep up. I'm so upset that it cannot be returned.

Print too slow and the ink doesn't last long.
The copies comes out slower than expected.

PRINTER ONLY LASTED NINE MONTHS
I bought HP 8139e - serial TH45LGN2VJ because of the one year free instant ink. Unfortunately it started malfunctioning in nine months. I kep trying to work with HP support - so much time on this even when they sent me a new cartridge it still failed. I gave up even though the instant ink had four free months left!!

Excellent Printer
It is an excellent printer once you get it set up -- which took me about a week of trial and error. Instrctions did not come close to making it easier.

Impressive Refurbished Printter
I have bought several refurbished items and have always been happy with them. But this printer looked like it ha never been used and it works like a brand new one. The packaging was EXCELLENT. It really looked like it came straight from the factory. The attention shown to the packaging of the shipment showed a lot about this seller. I would definitely buy from them again. The best part is that the printer works so very well and runs much more smoothly than the new one I had to replaces very short time after purchase of it. I would like to thank the seller for such an excellent and refreshing experience with them.

Failures of 8139e
Tech help very hard to reach; then consistently get disconnected with no agent bothering to call me back so I just give up. My 8720 was a great printer; this one has poor scanning software that consistently fails. I have to shut down and restart printer every time to get it to scan from tray or to fix other issues.

Hardware works- Mac software not so much.
The printer itself worked well out of the box. The setup instructions, and the software for Mac were both lacking in detail and lacking full function. I was unable to subscribe to instant ink despite repeated tries. I expected the setup to take 30 minutes- it easily took 3 times that, and left me without instant ink.

New Printer
HP made it simple to replace aged Printer & " right size " new printer. Got surprised that it didn't have capacity ( ink& paper) of old unit, my bad! Should have read specs more diligently!

Great midrange printer
Great overall - This is my 2nd 8139 printer. Good quality print for both color and b/w. The cartridges do well with my 700-900 copies per month. I wish the paper tray was easier to open; it gets caught on the paper catch extension when opening but closing is fine. I also appreciate the Instant Ink service.

Frustrating as you know what!
The cartidges that came with my printer would not communicate. Couldn't set up. Many hours on phone with customer service. New cartidges sent, these would not work because they were not set up ones. Another wasted day on phone. Over another hour to have someone in India guide me through an override process.

A Good Printer for my needs
The directions to unpack and set up the printer were clear. There was a need to follow the directions closely and not rush any steps. The result was that I have a printer that works well and prints clearly.

My new HP printer combination-love at first sight
I don't think you can regret getting any HP printer. They're always very easy to install and it hooked up right away to my Wi-Fi. I got her going. I do enjoy my Printer. I'm an artist I watercolor and I copy lots of pictures that I have need to use to paint by. Thank you HP. I enjoy it.

Not received items I purchased.
Item not received. Poor customer service and website. Repeated mistake of delivered in wrong address. Need HP has to take necessary action to fix their website. Last week they completed a refund of the printer I ordered.
I am waiting for my other items includes a laptop for refund. I am not at all happy with any HP for their services. Wasted my time and money. Because of I purchased from HP, I lose the chance to buy from other brands with their deals.
I believe HP will take necessary action to escalate the error happened. I am not willing to give any rating of my purchase from HP.

Slow and noisy
My officejet 8135e was well priced for the features it has, and I got 3 months of instant ink for free. Whenever I print something it seems to click and clank for quite a long time before it actually prints the page. Because it comes with virtually no instruction manual, I don't know whether this is a defect or a feature. Print quality is good.

It's just ok
I have printed a few pages with this new printer. It's ok, just not very professional looking. I replaced an older printer - flat scanner type - that printed better.
