Problem after problem

Computer seemed great, but after a few weeks I had trouble playing videos and saving files. The hard drive stopped working. Yaaayyyy! Sent it back, got it back, lost everything. A few weeks later the wireless card stopped working. Yaaayyy! Sent it back, got it back, lost everything. A couple days later the wireless card stopped working. Yaaaaayyyy! I don't know what to do. I told the case manager I have a lemon. More headaches with this computer than any electronics product I've owned. Now I have to plead with them for a computer that works. To be continued....

Product is Great

Good computer. Fast and Smooth. The only downside is the mouse pad which is very slippery and makes it difficult to highlight and edit documents.

This product is overall fine

The size is small and the weight is very light. Good for transporting. However, the sound is weak and the execution of clicks/commands is slow. I guess you are really paying for the small size and the SSD.

Right on point with what a laptop should be.

Pros-- Light_ One pound makes a difference I say so having used 4lb ultrabooks Extremely Portable_ Make this thing do somersaults and never be scared of corrupting you hard drive or losing data like a spinning disk would Fast_ The speed is the best I've come across the SSD makes more of an impact than I imagined. Loud enough_Four Speaker give enough sound to hear over most ambient noises Looks terrific , keyboard is the perfect size for typing. Mouse pad clicks nicely and on the whole pad backlighting works well Negative::: .Screen could tilt further back .Small hard drive wish there was the option to upgrade to 256 when I bought it .Had to uninstall that horrible beats audio driver Windows 8 does annoying things, I got windows shell extension it's free and at least give you back the start menu wish the backlight had more dimming levels

A little bit noisy

This ultrabook looks very sleek. The wireless connection does not have a good reception. I have a Macbook Pro sitting right next to this ultrabook. Both were accessing the same web site. Page loading on this unit is slower than the Macbook. The most annoying thing is that when the fan start to turn, this unit is noisy. It does not sound like a hight quality unit even thought it has a nice look.

LOVE IT!

When my old computer died i was looking for a laptop that was not quite a tablet and lighter and smaller than a laptop. I went to CNET for their reviews to find the closest to a macbook without the high price tag. My Spectre XT rocks! It is fast, great screen resolution, very nice keyboard, light and compact (slips into my tote easily. I would recommend this to any business person who needs the storage and speed of a full size laptop and is looking for PC that competes with the Apple products!

Perfect for college student

This laptop is phenomenal. It is lightweight, fast, sleek and portable. It includes a webcam, Beats speakers (AMAZING SOUND) and includes a backlit keyboard (great for darker rooms-you dont have to strain your eyes). Additionally, my back does not hurt from carrying this laptop! A student can actually carry notebooks and textbooks in addition to this laptop! It's only 3 lbs!!!!! This laptop can be put into sleep mode and could be opened and functional really quickly after sleep mode ( I close the screen to make it sleep during the time that I walk between buildings to get to my classes. The laptop will function within 15 seconds after opening). It has 4-8 hours of battery life depending on the power and brightness settings. (It will last for 8 hours if you have on power saver, dim and turn the keyboard off- often I have it on these settings since I choose to leave the charging cord at home....) The dimming setting has 10 bars of brightness, which is a nice option. Again, when I want to save power, I will choose to dim the screen and turn keyboard backlight off. Overall, I am more than satisfied with this computer- it has exceeded my expectations with the features. I have been so happy with this laptop since my other laptop (non-HP) gave me multiple issues. I have recommended this model to so many PC people who attend my campus since this computer is perfect for a college student.

The HP ENVY Spectre XT 13-2150nr 13.3" Ultrabook Computer features an ultra-thin all-aluminum design. Coated with a natural silver finish, the HP Ultrabook is both stylish and ultraportable. The 13.3" HD BrightView widescreen display provides exceptional brightness and color gamut for optimal image quality. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and is backlit with LED lamps, which are more energy efficient than their CCFL counterparts. The 1366 x 768 native resolution is powered by integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000.

With an HDMI port, you'll be able to output video signals to a larger external display, such as a monitor or an HDTV. If you would rather go wireless, built-in Intel WiDi technology enables you to wirelessly stream your music, photos and videos and other PC content to an HDTV. A compatible TV adapter (sold separately) will be required to make use of this feature.

The system is powered by a dual-core Ivy Bridge 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U processor. It also has 4GB of onboard DDR3 RAM, a 128GB solid-state drive, a 2-in-1 media card reader, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Intel Wireless Display (WiDi), an integrated webcam and microphone. There are also quad speakers powered by Beats Audio.

The installed operating system is Windows 8. Windows 8 introduces a redesigned desktop called the Start screen.
