I purchased my Envy 14 to replace an aging Dell XPS. Upon receiving the Envy 14, I noticed the beautiful machined aluminum chassis and I felt that this was definitely a "step-up" in computer build quality. My machine came with the faster I5 processor and the speed is simply amazing. I've also learned to use the different processor Power Plan's to my advantage. On battery, the "Power Saver" works well with long battery life (with adequate processor speed) and back on AC - I switch back to "High Performance" for a premium computing experience. My work is based on Microsoft Office and I installed Office 2010 right from the start. The combination of the Intel I5-460M processor and Office 2010 is unbeatable. Opening and closing applications is instantaneous and silky smooth. 30 emails and 10 proposals can be accomplished in a surprisingly short amount of time. I've "burned" a couple of my favorite CD's and the listening experience is first rate. All - in - all - this computer is a gem and a tremendous value. I would highly recommend the HP Envy 14 for business travelers and home office workers.
