Get A 2 Dimm or Dv series if HP
The laptop itself appears decent until opened up; the keypad is recessed which funnels dust and whatever down under the keys. There is no scroll feature on the touchpad. The screen's display is good. The 1 Dimm & dual AMD processing aspect gets bogged down easily when browsing the net and having the preloaded Norton spyware/antivirus running or any other preloaded application. While on the topic of preloaded it comes filled with all sorts of programs to get the trash bin some start-up use. Also the speakers sound downgraded compared to earlier models.

Very Satisfied so far
I recently received the HP Pavilion g6-1d60us Notebook PC and have not had a great deal of time to evaluate it; but from the brief exposure I am satisfied. It set up easily, functions well, is simple to use and looks great. If it continues to function as it has I will be very satisfied. I appreciate the textured finger pad as I am not very good with the usual finger pads on laptops and the textured pad is much easier to use. So far, it is a terrific value for the money spent.

Best purchase this year so far
Newly purchased but so far so good does everything as the product details describe & screen size is perfect. Also, setup was very simple. I would have given it 5 stars but I havent had it long enough to know its full potential thanks HP!!!!!!!

Lovin It!
Well I just have to say Im still getting use to my new Pavilion g6-1d60us Notebook.. Im not use to having something when you click be right their. Its just super fast, easy to use, so simple to upload pictures ( which I love ) the webcam has so many features you can do while chatting that on my old one it never had! And to be honest I wasnt sure if I was going to like it when I purchased it. But I am so super glad I picked this one over the others.. It was a great early birthday gift.. I love too how well the colors are and everything.. I dont have enough words to say how much I love this laptop! I would suggested one to anyone!

Not a bad laptop
I am happy with the performance of this laptop. By no means is it going to run the latest PC games at the highest graphic settings but it handles editing photos with photoshop cs4 no problem. The laptop has a good sized hard drive (640GB) for storing all my images and files, it has a dual core A4 processor by AMD that does the job, it has 4 gigs of ram which is decent, and a integrated graphics card by AMD that handles most average graphics that you might come across. All and all the Pavilion g6-1d60us is a good entry level laptop for the price.

Solid laptop for a great value
As soon as I purchased this machine I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit to get rid of any pre-installed bloatware and upgraded to the full capacity of 8 GB RAM. The machine is solidly built and I feel much more confident moving it around than I did with my old laptop. The performance has been reliable so far, although it's not as fast as I imagined it would be. I can't tell if I'm imagining this or not but the screen seems to flicker sometimes. Some of the keys are difficult to press (I have found myself having to reposition my hands in order to get a more optimal finger strike on the keys) but overall everything works. I also noticed this machine seems to be a bit noisier than other more expensive laptops sometimes when it's working hard, but it is quiet most of the time and doesn't get too hot. Overall, this machine is a great value for the price.
